The first university opens a 3-star hotel for students to practice

School leaders, faculties, and departments cut the ribbon to inaugurate the hotel.

Recently, the 3-star Lotus Legend Hotel, 197 Tran Phu, Ha Dong, Hanoi organized the "Inauguration and Opening Ceremony of the Faculty of Tourism's Practical Hotel - Lotus Legend Hotel". The purpose is to create the best conditions for students to study and practice to immediately apply to the standards of the business.

Located on a main street, the center between Royal city and European Overseas Vietnamese Village, Lotus Legend hotel meets 3-star standards with full functional areas qualified to serve study, internship, practice: Reception area, restaurant area serving European and Asian guests, 60 rooms with full modern amenities; practice and tour guide rooms; conference and seminar rooms...

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the School shared: "The training goal of the school is to combine theory with practice so that students not only master their expertise but also master practical skills. So there is nothing better than the school investing in its own facilities so that students and teachers can proactively teach and learn right in school...

“Not only with the Faculty of Tourism but also with other faculties such as Pharmacy, Nursing… we also have standard practice areas and laboratories to ensure the best for students to study and experiment, so that after graduation they can always work to meet the needs of businesses” - Mr. Son shared more.

At the program, Mr. Vu Van Thanh - Director of the Hotel Department said that Dai Nam University is the first university to have a practical hotel model for the Faculty of Tourism. This is a source of pride and something worth learning in the training work combining theory and practice, connecting students and businesses, students can confidently work well right after graduation. Hopefully in the coming years, higher education institutions will also learn to apply this useful practical training model for students".

Student Nguyen Thi Hang - 3rd year student of the Faculty of Tourism said, "If we only learn theory without being "shown hands to do", it will be difficult for us to master the skills. There are many situations that we have to go directly to work with customers in order to understand and do. Having practice facilities like this, being able to study at home and still being taught and guided by our teachers makes us feel very proud and confident, we have matured a lot in our behavioral skills, flexibly solving problems at work as well as in life. Talking about the issue of teaching theory combined with practice at the hotel, Mr. Tran Sy Nguyen - Head of Tourism Department, Executive Director of Lotus Legend Practical Hotel shared: "The skills, standards, and operations that students learn in class will be practiced and practiced at the Faculty's practical hotel according to the standards learned in class and accompanied by lecturers".
