It is a fact that the boundary between public and private schools in our country's education is increasingly blurring. Evidence shows that the desire to register for university entrance exams at non-public schools has increased sharply, with some schools increasing their wishes by more than 100%.
It is a fact that the boundary between public and private schools in our country's education is increasingly blurring. Evidence shows that the desire to register for university entrance exams at non-public schools has increased sharply, with some schools increasing their wishes by more than 100%.

According to the draft Decree of the Ministry of Education and Training submitted to the Government, the autonomy mechanism will be applied to public universities, so tuition fees of all schools will increase in each school year. Before this draft, university leaders expressed their support and believed that this is the way to improve the quality of training. Increasing tuition fees will help schools have money to invest in learning conditions, improve training quality, which will then have a negative impact on students. Creating a balance in tuition fees also forces students to carefully consider their choice of school and major so that after graduation they can work and earn money to compensate for their previous investment.

Tuition fees are one of the concerns of parents and candidates.
It has been a common belief from previous years that most parents and candidates think that public schools are more prestigious than private schools and that tuition fees are cheaper, so they all want their children to study in public schools. However, in reality, the quality of training at public and private schools is equal, and even better in some non-public schools. In addition, the tuition fees of public schools increase every year, along with additional fees, which is one of the reasons why parents and students are shifting to choosing prestigious non-public schools...

Discussing this issue, MSc. Nguyen Viet Anh - Vice Principal of the school said: "The phenomenon of candidates distinguishing between public and private schools still exists. However, the gap between public and private schools is gradually fading. In the past, public schools had many advantages because of relatively low tuition fees, but when given autonomy, some schools have tuition fees that are even higher than private schools."

MSc. Nguyen Viet Anh - Vice Principal of Dai Nam University talks to the press about the concept of public-private schools
In the 2018 admission season, the number of candidates applying to many non-public universities has increased. Specifically, in the first days of enrollment at Dai Nam University, the number of candidates applying to the school has never increased as dramatically as this year, this number is more than 2 times higher than in 2017. Many candidates even chose this university as their first choice instead of applying to public universities.
Thousands of parents and candidates came to Dai Nam University to complete admission procedures in recent days.
In addition to tuition fees, parents and students' perceptions of public and private schools are also gradually changing. Output quality is an important criterion in choosing a school. According to the report sent to the Ministry of Education and Training, with more than 90% of graduates having jobs, this is one of the important measures that parents and candidates choose to study at Dai Nam University.

Obviously, the numbers are increasing dramatically, the change in social perception between public and private schools is increasingly blurred. This will be the driving force for non-public schools to continue to improve quality, creating a turning point in higher education in Vietnam.
