The contest “KING & QUEEN AT DNU 2024” officially “come-back”

The most anticipated Christmas competition of Dai Nam University has officially returned with a grand scale and a total prize value of up to 14 million VND. This is an ideal playground for Dainamers to affirm their beauty, talent, style, creativity; spread the spirit of solidarity in the Dai Nam University student community. Thereby finding typical and talented students to spread the image of young, dynamic, creative Dai Nam University students to the whole society.

Specifically:

I. Contestants

- Each Union selects and nominates 02 excellent representatives (01 male representative and 01 female representative) who meet the following criteria:

+ Be a student studying at the Faculty you represent in the competition;

+ Have a beautiful, graceful, elegant appearance; balanced, healthy body; Male students must be 1m7 or taller; Female students must be 1m6 or taller;

+ Confident communication style, quick and dynamic working style;

+ Candidates must not violate the school's rules and regulations during their time at the school.

II. Contest content

1. Photo contest

1.1. Requirements

- Each pair of contestants submits 1 photo taken together with a Christmas theme with the following criteria:

+ Clear photos of 02 candidates' faces, half-body or full-body;

+ Demonstrate the chemistry between the two contestants, meeting the spirit and style of the competition;

+ Encourage photos taken at Dai Nam University;

+ The teams are fully responsible for preparing the photos for the contest.

- Other requirements:

+ Each contest photo cannot be a combination of many different photos.

+ Contest photos must be appropriate to Vietnamese customs and culture; and must not violate Vietnamese law. Products with inappropriate content and quality will be eliminated from the first round.

+ BTC is not responsible in case a contestant's entry is deleted by Facebook due to violating community standards.

+ Dai Nam University is allowed to use the entries for promotional purposes and brand development without asking for permission or paying any fees.

+ The decision by BTC is final.

- Time to register and submit photos: Before December 2, 2024

1.2. Scoring rules

- The Organizing Committee synthesizes and processes entries according to the competition's supply identification.

- Contest entries are posted on the fanpage "Dai Nam University" from December 4, 2024 - December 9, 2024.

- Each team's score is calculated according to the formula

Total score = Judges score x 30% + Voting score x 70%

In which: Voting points are calculated based on the ranking of the entry's access points on the fanpage "Dai Nam University"

The 15 best pairs of contestants will advance to the Preliminary Round.

2. Preliminary Round

Teams participating in the preliminary round will be supported with costumes and training costs: 600,000 VND/pair of contestants.

2.1. Time and location

- Time: 18:30-22:00 on December 12, 2024

- Location: GD1 Grand Hall - Dai Nam University

2.2. Rules

a. Part 1: Catwalk and Introduction

- Catwalk: Contestants catwalk in their own chosen outfits

- Call out name: After the catwalk, the contestant calls out Name and Faculty

b. Part 2: Talent Preliminary

Each pair of contestants prepares a 2-3 minute talent clip to demonstrate their individual talents. The performance forms are diverse such as: singing, dancing, martial arts, magic, acting, playing musical instruments, etc.

c. Part 3: Interaction with the Jury

The judges asked 2 questions to better understand the contestants, questions to test their confidence and ability to behave.

The 10 best pairs of contestants will enter the Final Round.

3. Final Round

The teams participating in the final round will be supported with costumes and training costs: 1,000,000 VND/pair of contestants.

3.1. Time and location:

18:30 on December 23, 2024 at Dai Nam University Central Square

3.2. Mentor support for candidates

- The contestant pairs participating in the Final Round will be arranged by the Organizing Committee to practice with Mentors in the skills: Catwalk and Performance.

3.3. Content

a. Ensemble and Calling out names

- All contestants dance a short ensemble dance on stage, demonstrating confidence, personal style and Catwalk performance ability.

- Call out individual and Faculty names: Each candidate has about 15-20 seconds to complete the test.

b. Part 1: Freestyle

- Clothing should reflect personal style but still be polite, civilized and appropriate for the school environment.

c. Part 2: Talent Competition

- 10 pairs of contestants perform a talent excerpt for a minimum of 3 minutes on stage.

- Performance forms: singing, dancing, martial arts performances, drama, musical instrument solos...

d. Part 3: Evening Gown

- Couples perform their best evening gowns in the King & Queen spirit on the show's stage.
