The benchmark scores for the Journalism and Media industry continue to "break records", what are the options for candidates?

In 2022, the Journalism and Information Group is still the group of majors chosen by the majority of candidates, in which the two majors Public Relations and Multimedia Communications have record high standard scores. To enter these majors at public schools, candidates must achieve nearly 10 points/subject (group C00). So, what is the path for candidates when they do not have enough points to enter the "top" schools?
Many candidates with high scores still "fail"
The 2022 benchmark for the Public Relations major at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is in the "champion" position with a near-perfect score: 29.95/30 points (block C00). At the Academy of Journalism and Communication, the benchmark for this major is also "top" with 37.6/40 points (block D78, R26). Not only that, candidates must also achieve 7.5 IELTS points to be eligible for admission.
Similarly, the Multimedia Communication major of the Academy of Journalism and Communication is also in the “beauty queen” position with 29.25/30 points (Block C15). With such a “sky-high” standard score, candidates with excellent scores (over 8 points/subject) still fail to apply to these schools.

How to choose "easy to breathe"
Feeling sad and worried when not being admitted to the school of their dreams is inevitable for candidates. However, instead of being “depressed”, candidates should proactively seek opportunities at schools with “easier” admission scores. Accordingly, training programs, facilities and teaching staff are important criteria that candidates need to “weigh” when choosing their next destination.
