The success of the more than 12-year journey of construction and development of Dai Nam University cannot be mentioned without the contribution of the Youth Union. Under the direction and guidance of the Board of Directors and the Board of Management, the activities of the Youth Union of Dai Nam University not only connect and gather a large number of students to participate; create an intellectual and useful playground; bring practical and valuable experiences but also have a profound influence in the social community. In order to summarize the activities of the Union and youth movement of the IV term - 2017-2019 term and elect the Executive Committee of the V term - 2019-2022 term, on the morning of December 18, the youth of Dai Nam University organized the 5th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

Mr. Luong Cao Dong - Principal of Dai Nam University gave a speech directing the activities of the Youth Union and movements of Dai Nam University for the 2019-2022 term.

The 5th Congress of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Dai Nam University had the participation of the School Board, representatives of Hanoi Youth Union leaders, representatives of friendly units, sister units... and more than 200 outstanding members representing branches and inter-branches of the whole school.

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Luong Cao Dong - Principal of Dai Nam University highly appreciated the results of the activities of Dai Nam Youth Union in the 2017-2019 term, and emphasized that the new Executive Committee of the Youth Union needs to make efforts to promote the achievements, overcome the remaining difficulties and limitations to make the Youth Union movement continue to develop stronger.

“The activities of the Youth Union of Dai Nam University in the coming term need to closely follow the direction of the Hanoi City Youth Union and the direction of the Board of Directors and the Board of Management of the University. Movement activities such as: The cake of love, Traditional camping, Dai Nam red drops, Warm winter, Green summer,... and environmental activities need to be diversified and promoted. In particular, the Youth Union branches need to organize movement activities that combine professional knowledge with reality so that students can learn, improve their knowledge, skills, and practical experiences to serve their future work and life..." Mr. Luong Cao Dong directed.

Also at the Congress, Comrade Tran Quang Hung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Youth Union, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Hanoi Youth Union acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Youth Union of Dai Nam University in the past term. Comrade Tran Quang Hung also affirmed that the Hanoi Youth Union always supports and is ready to accompany the youth of Dai Nam University to organize activities to bring a healthy and useful playground to help students develop their thinking, perfect their personality and contribute to spreading humanistic values in the community.

At the first working session, the Congress elected the Presidium, the Secretariat, and the Delegate Qualification Review Committee; discussed and contributed opinions to the Draft Political Report of the 4th School Youth Union Executive Committee, to be submitted to the 5th Congress; voted to approve the Report on the Qualification Review of Delegates attending the Congress with the result that 100% of delegates were qualified to attend the Congress . The Congress listened to the Review Report of the 4th Executive Committee.

At the beginning of the second session, the Congress listened to comrade Nguyen Thi Thuy - Secretary of the Youth Union of Dai Nam University, term IV, reporting on the summary of the activities of the Youth Union and the school's youth movement in the term 2017-2019 as well as giving directions for the term 2019-2022.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Thuy summarized the activities of the Union and movements in the 2017-2019 term and the directions of activities for the new term 2019-2022.

The report has deeply and comprehensively summarized the results in all aspects of work, compared and evaluated the completion of targets according to the resolution of the 4th Congress; seriously recognized and reviewed the remaining weaknesses, pointed out the causes and drew lessons to continue completing the tasks and work of the 5th Congress.

To encourage the spirit of the youth union members, Dai Nam University awarded certificates of merit to groups and individuals with positive achievements in the union activities of Dai Nam University in the term 2017-2019.

In the closing speech of the Congress, comrade Nguyen Thi Thuy - Secretary of the Youth Union of the University, on behalf of the youth of Dai Nam University, expressed her sincere and deep gratitude for the attention and direction of the Central Youth Union, Hanoi Youth Union; the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, and the functional departments in the school for their help and support for the work of the Youth Union of the University over the past years, warmly welcomed and thanked the Youth Union members in the whole school for their contributions to the construction of the Congress documents, organizing welcoming activities and participating in the organization of the Congress.
