The 2nd Congress of Dai Nam University Trade Union: Continuing to promote the role of representing and protecting the rights and caring for the lives of cadres, lecturers and employees

On the morning of March 31, Dai Nam University Trade Union successfully held the 2nd Congress, term 2023 - 2028. 07 comrades with sufficient qualifications, capacity, level and sense of responsibility were elected to the new Executive Committee, continuing to promote the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights of the school's staff, lecturers and employees.

Attending the 2nd Congress of Dai Nam University Trade Union, on behalf of Vietnam Education Trade Union, there were: Comrade Nguyen Ngoc An - Chairman; Comrade Tran Manh Thang - Member of the Standing Committee.

On the side of Dai Nam University, there were: Leaders of the school's Party Committee; Board of Directors; Executive Committee of the School's Trade Union, Term I, Youth Union; Leaders of the Faculties, Departments, Boards, Institutes, and Centers of the school.

Continue to promote and develop Union activities

According to the report at the Congress, during the past term, the school's Trade Union has performed well its function of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of cadres, lecturers and staff through close coordination with the government to strictly implement democratic regulations and internal spending regulations; ensuring policies and regimes for employees; ensuring political, material and spiritual rights and interests for union members.

During the past term, the school's Trade Union also focused on effectively implementing propaganda and education work for union members; well organizing patriotic emulation movements, contributing to the completion of the school's political tasks; regularly innovating the organization and methods of operation, improving the quality of activities of the Trade Union organization and the team of Trade Union officials.

Speaking at the Congress, comrade Nguyen Ngoc An acknowledged and highly appreciated the results that the Trade Union of Dai Nam University had achieved in the past term; at the same time, he requested the delegates to promote the spirit of democracy, solidarity, and wisely select and elect a new Executive Committee with sufficient qualities and capacity to further develop the Trade Union activities of the University.

Comrade Nguyen Ngoc An highly appreciated the Trade Union activities of Dai Nam University in the period 2017 - 2023.

“The Dai Nam University Trade Union is one of the schools with good potential and operating effectively in the current context. In the new term, I hope the Dai Nam University Trade Union will focus on three issues: Building regulations and operating rules; Organizing regular labor conferences; The new Executive Committee must find resources to develop the Trade Union…”, said comrade Nguyen Ngoc An.

On the School’s side, Dr. Luong Cao Dong – Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell shared: “The rights and interests of cadres, lecturers and employees are closely linked to the development of the School. Therefore, I suggest that the Union have more political, cultural, artistic and sports activities to connect union members; create high solidarity and unity within the School”.

Launching the Executive Committee of the Trade Union, Term II, 2023 - 2028

At the program, the Congress elected the Presidium, the Secretariat, the Delegate Qualification Examination Board; Report on the Delegate Qualification Examination Results; Report on the summary of the work for the 2017-2023 term and the direction and tasks for the 2023-2028 term; Review report of the Executive Committee of the Dai Nam University Trade Union, Term I; Discussion; conducted the election of the Executive Committee of the Dai Nam University Trade Union, Term II, Term 2023-2028.

After 4 hours of urgent and serious work with a sense of responsibility and efficiency, the Congress of the Trade Union of Dai Nam University for the term 2023 - 2028 was a great success. The Congress democratically and wisely selected 07 comrades with sufficient qualifications, capacity, level and sense of responsibility for the new Executive Committee, including:

• Comrade Nguyen Thi Huong Le - Head of Finance and Accounting Department
• Comrade Le The Anh - Head of Accounting Department
• Comrade Nguyen Thi Thuy - Head of Soft Skills Training and Development Department
• Comrade Duong Minh Tu - Deputy Head of Business Administration Department
• Comrade Nguyen Van Hieu - Deputy Head of Administration Department
• Comrade Do Thi Huyen Trang - Specialist of Quality Assurance Department.

Comrade Dinh Quang Hung, on behalf of the new Executive Committee, said: “We are committed to fulfilling the assigned tasks well, developing the Dai Nam University Trade Union further; protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members; creating a safe, friendly and secure working environment for workers; and building and developing the school to become stronger and stronger.”
