The 1st Congress of Dai Nam University Trade Union, term 2015 - 2020

On the afternoon of June 26, 2015, with the consensus of the Party Cell and the School Board of Directors, the grassroots Trade Union  (CĐCS)  Dai Nam University held the 1st Congress of the grassroots trade union for the 2015-2020 term. The Congress concluded by summarizing, evaluating and reviewing all aspects of the trade union activities during the interim period, electing the Executive Committee of the trade union for the new term, and approving the Congress resolution.

Attending the Congress were Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Trong Phuc - Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell - Principal of the School, along with comrades in the provisional Executive Committee of the Trade Union and all union members in the school. The school was also honored to welcome the presence of delegates from the Vietnam Education Trade Union: Mr. Nguyen Ngoc An - Member of the Executive Committee, Chief of Office; Dang Hoang Anh, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee and Nguyen Van Thai - Deputy Head of the Policy and Law Committee.

Union members representing departments and offices in the school attended the Congress fully and seriously.

After electing the presidium to run the Congress, the secretariat, and the delegate qualification inspection committee, the Congress of Dai Nam University Trade Union Delegates was opened and took place in a very solemn atmosphere.

As the interim Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Dai Nam University Trade Union, comrade Tran Huy Doanh reported on the summary of the Trade Union activities for the 2012-2015 term, the review report of the interim Executive Committee and the direction and tasks of the Trade Union for the first term, 2015-2020 term.

The Presidium of the Congress

Despite some limitations and shortcomings, the Provisional Executive Committee of Dai Nam University Trade Union has taken care of the lives, ensured the legal and legitimate rights of cadres, lecturers and employees; at the same time participated in management, building harmonious and stable labor relations, creating motivation to improve the training quality of the University. In addition, Dai Nam University Trade Union has also promoted propaganda work for cadres, lecturers and employees about the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, and resolutions on trade union work. In particular, many activities have been organized to ensure the rights of female union members. In the coming term, Dai Nam University Trade Union will continue to promote the achievements and determined to overcome the remaining limitations. Some union members at the Congress contributed their comments and gave sincere opinions to further improve the direction and tasks of the University Trade Union in the coming term.

Representing the higher-level union, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc An also gave a speech at the conference. Agreeing with the direction and tasks of the Dai Nam University Union for the 2015-2020 term. He expressed his confidence that with the correct leadership of the Board of Directors and the Board of Management, together with the solidarity and efforts of the union members, the new term Union Executive Committee will successfully complete its tasks, bringing Dai Nam University to new heights.

With the high consensus of union members at the Congress on the personnel plan for the Executive Committee of the Dai Nam University Trade Union for the 2015-2020 term, the Congress conducted the election in a fair and transparent manner. At the end of the election session, 07 comrades were trusted and elected to the Executive Committee of the University Trade Union for the first term, 2015-2020 term.

The Executive Committee of the Dai Nam University Trade Union, Term I, 2015-2020, was introduced to the Congress.

The first Congress of Dai Nam University Trade Union, term 2015 - 2020, has ended successfully. The Executive Committee of the Trade Union Term I, term 2015 - 2020 promised to promote the sense of responsibility, solidarity, lead union members to implement the activities of the University Trade Union, perform well the role of representing, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers, worthy of the choice and trust of all union members in the school.
