Teachers and students of Dai Nam University join forces to protect the environment – for a green future

“Maybe, many people will think they are innocent; the consequences of environmental pollution are still far away, it will “leave me alone”. However, every day in Vietnam, nearly 400 people die from cancer, including students and trainees of Dai Nam. Cancer is getting younger every day and can come to anyone if humans continue to destroy the environment as it is now. Don’t blame God, nature when we are the “culprits” . That was the statement of Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Principal, Head of the Movement Committee at the Environmental Protection Launch Ceremony - the opening activity for a series of environmental protection actions of more than 700 staff, lecturers and 10,000 students of Dai Nam University towards the “For a Green Future” Camp held on April 15.

Sharing at the Launching Ceremony, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Principal, Head of the Movement Committee acknowledged and praised the spirit of joint action of teachers and students of Dai Nam University, and expressed her confidence in the series of practical and meaningful actions throughout before, during and after the event, the message "for a green future" of DNU will not only spread to each cadre, lecturer, staff, student and trainee in the school but also to the whole community.

“Don’t blame God or nature when we are the “culprits”. When Mother Nature gets angry, she spares no one. If we want a better future for ourselves and our children, we must join hands to act today…”, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa emphasized.
According to Ms. Cao Thi Hoa, joining hands to protect the environment does not need to be big and bold, each person can contribute from the smallest things in daily life, such as: Limiting the use of plastic bags, not using bottles and single-use plastic products, always carrying a personal water bottle, sorting waste at home, not littering, having a healthy lifestyle to protect one's own health...

At the launching ceremony, nearly 400 students divided into small groups with bamboo brooms, buckets, hoes, shovels, and garbage trucks to conduct a general cleaning of the entire school and plant more than 500 trees on campus.
This is the opening action for a series of activities in the traditional camping program "for a green future" of teachers and students of Dai Nam University.

Ms. Cao Thi Hoa personally put the first hoe with the students, turning the vacant lots overgrown with weeds into gardens.
For many students in the city, this was the first time they held a hoe or shovel, but they were all very excited and enthusiastic to join hands.
