Although students and trainees are currently on break to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic, online learning activities at Dai Nam University are still taking place urgently and enthusiastically, but all lecturers asked said they miss their students and "crave" to be in class.

Up to this point, DNU students have been out of school for 4 weeks due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
The longest school break in history, teachers "crave" to stand in class
Sharing with us, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - lecturer of the Faculty of Business Administration, Dai Nam University said that this is her longest vacation ever . "My daily job is to go to class, meet students, impart knowledge, develop projects with students, take students to internships and training at businesses, learn about their circumstances, listen to their feelings and emotions... In particular, I am in charge of the school's union activities, after a long break, I miss the lecture hall and the students so much..." Ms. Thuy confided.
What Ms. Thuy wishes most at this time is for the Covid-19 epidemic to be quickly controlled in Vietnam and around the world so that students can return to school and teaching and learning activities can resume as vibrantly as before.
Mr. Le Hung Anh - lecturer of the Faculty of Construction - Architecture also could not hide his feelings of missing the classroom and students. "Although teachers and students still teach and study online together during the break, not being able to stand in class, not being able to meet and interact directly with students, not being able to be the "judge" for the lively discussion sessions... I feel really disappointed".
Mr. Tran Nhu Phong - lecturer of the Faculty of Nursing also feels extremely empty because of the Covid-19 epidemic, which has prevented him from teaching for more than a month. Mr. Phong expressed: "I miss my students and "crave" to teach so much..."
Staff and lecturers still work during the time students and trainees are off due to the epidemic.
In order to ensure the 2019-2020 school year plan, during the time students and trainees are off school to prevent and fight the Covid-19 epidemic, 100% of Dai Nam University staff and lecturers still go to work.

Dai Nam University students study online during the epidemic season
In order to not interrupt the learning process of students, Dai Nam University has implemented online learning on the E-Learning system during the time students and trainees are temporarily absent from school. Accordingly, 100% of lecturers actively update course materials, textbooks, lectures, and instructional videos on the system so that students can access, self-study, and research at home under the remote guidance of lecturers.
“Online learning channels such as Facebook, Zalo, Google Classroom... and the E-Learning system are being fully utilized by the school during this time. At the same time, information about the epidemic situation, notices of school closures, timetables, and online learning plans are also fully and continuously updated by the school on the school's official website and fanpage..." said Mr. Luong Cao Dong - Principal of Dai Nam University.
According to Mr. Luong Cao Dong, although online teaching and learning has encountered some difficulties in teaching interactions, this is also an opportunity for Dai Nam University to test and perfect the school's online teaching system - a new trend in the world to erase the distance of space and time in education. The positive aspect of this method is that students can study anywhere, anytime as long as there is an internet connection. Both teachers and students do not have to travel too much, wasting time and being affected by epidemics, air pollution or traffic...
Sharing with us, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Principal expressed her concern that students and trainees who are absent from school for too long will easily forget their knowledge and become passive when they return to school.
“There are classroom experiences that online teaching cannot replace, such as verbal and facial interactions with students, organizing games, and group work activities…” Ms. Cao Thi Hoa affirmed.
It is expected that students of Dai Nam University will return to school on March 2. Hopefully, the Covid-19 epidemic will soon be controlled so that teaching and learning activities of teachers and students can soon return to normal.
