Dai Nam University always identifies scientific research (NCKH) as one of the main tasks of the University. From the perspective of comprehensive development for university students, students' scientific research activities always receive special attention from the leaders of Dai Nam University. Following that activity, recently, Dai Nam University organized the Student Scientific Research Conference for the 2022-2023 academic year. Many breakthrough and highly applicable ideas were presented to the council, 04 student scientific research topics were proposed to participate in ministerial-level scientific research.

Enhance the ability of self-study and scientific research of Dai Nam students

The 2022-2023 Student Scientific Research Conference attracted the attention of students with nearly 100 research topics. After being evaluated at the Faculty-level Research Conference, 30 highly practical topics, contributing to solving problems in social life, officially participated in the School-level Student Scientific Research Conference.

Speaking at the Conference, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Hong - President of Dai Nam University emphasized the importance of scientific research tasks for students. First of all, scientific research promotes students' ability to explore, research and create; supports them in developing soft skills, creating good impressions and plus points with employers, expanding job opportunities after graduation. Highly applicable research can be put into practice, contributing to promoting economic growth and social development.

“The Student Scientific Research Conference is an effective reflection of the creative capacity, the ability to approach and gradually master science and technology, enhancing the self-study and research ability of Dai Nam University students. The success of the Conference is a driving force to attract and further promote the scientific research movement among students, closely linking research with improving the quality of training, creative startups of students, continuing the good tradition of the University through many generations”, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Hong emphasized.

Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Hong highly appreciated the efforts and enthusiasm of students in scientific research topics.

The topics presented at this year's Conference are all very close to reality, providing multi-dimensional perspectives on the fields of Health - Economics - Finance - Communication - Language, etc. The Scientific Council highly appreciates the scientific significance and applicability of the research topics.

“The results of the topics are useful and practical scientific documents for students’ study and research. I believe this will be the motivation for students to continue to explore, create and spread scientific research activities to students throughout the school,” Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Duc Hanh – Dean of the Faculty of Medicine emphasized.

Students brought to the Conference many practical and highly applicable topics.

04 topics were submitted to participate in ministerial-level scientific research

At the end of the Conference, 04 First Prizes were awarded to the topics: "Evaluation of the stability of Verapamil hydrochloride 120mg floating tablets produced experimentally at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dai Nam University", "The current situation of malnutrition and some related factors in children under 5 years old of the Thai ethnic group in Thuan Chau district, Son La province", "The current situation and communication solutions in raising awareness and behavior of DNU students with unverified news on social networks", "Research and construction of a pilot website for students to post information at Dai Nam University".

The Council highly appreciated the scientific significance and applicability of the research topics.

06 Second Prizes, 10 Third Prizes, 8 Encouragement Prizes were awarded to author groups of the following Faculties: Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing, Communications, Korean Language and Culture, Japanese Language and Culture, Information Technology, Accounting, Law.

Of which, 04 scientific research topics were proposed to participate in ministerial-level scientific research: "Research and trial construction of an electronic information page for students to post information at Dai Nam University" by a group of students from the Faculty of Information Technology ; "Current situation and communication solutions in raising awareness and behavior of DNU students with unverified news on social networks" by a group of students from the Faculty of Communication; "Evaluation of the stability of Verapamil hydrochloride 120mg floating tablets produced experimentally at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dai Nam University" by a group of students from the Faculty of Pharmacy and "Current situation of using Tiktok application among students of the Health sector at Dai Nam University in 2022 and some related factors" by a group of students from the Faculty of Medicine.

Breathe a sigh of relief after completing the report to the Council.

Sharing after the Conference, Cam Linh - a student of QHCC class 14.01 expressed: "The result of winning the First Prize in the Social Sciences and Humanities block is an unexpected result but also extremely worthy. Hopefully, with the results of our research, we can help DNU students in general and young people in particular to have a more correct perception of the information around them, to know how to select and receive information proactively."

Through scientific research activities, students of Dai Nam University have gained in-depth research experiences in academic fields; thereby, having the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and cultivate necessary soft skills such as presentation skills, critical thinking skills, teamwork skills, etc. to improve themselves.
