On the morning of February 22, the first working day after the Lunar New Year holiday of Tan Suu 2021, at the campus of 56 Vu Trong Phung - Thanh Xuan - Hanoi, Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Dai Nam University had a warm and friendly Spring meeting with the leaders of the Faculties; Institutes; Centers; and Functional Departments of the school.

Dr. Le Dac Son congratulates the new year and sends a spring message to Dai Nam staff and lecturers.

Also attending the meeting were Mr. Do Quan - Vice Chairman of the School Board and the School Board of Directors.

On the occasion of the beginning of the New Year of Tan Suu 2021, on behalf of the University Council and the Board of Directors, Dr. Le Dac Son sent to all officers, lecturers and staff of Dai Nam University the best wishes and many important messages about the development strategy of Dai Nam University in the coming time.

In the warm, friendly atmosphere of the meeting, teachers raised their glasses to celebrate the new year with new goals and victories.

Accordingly, the school's task from the beginning of the new year is to focus all resources to accelerate improvements in both quality and quantity in training.

“Right from the beginning of the new year, Dai Nam must change to create a stronger breakthrough in training quality. The school has been making very drastic decisions in changing the content and methods of training. In particular, with the view that teachers must be good for students to be good, Dai Nam has built and applied a set of standards to evaluate the capacity of staff and lecturers according to new criteria. The school focuses strongly on one hand on selecting good lecturers from outside, on the other hand on strengthening training and improving the internal capacity of the current staff who are enthusiastic and want to be associated with the school for a long time…” Dr. Le Dac Son shared.

The head of the school added that the weakness of Vietnam's higher education system is that most schools still teach "teachers read and students copy". Lecturers present slides in class; re-teach knowledge available in textbooks and the internet; then give questions, test, and evaluate students...

“If university education continues like this, we will be left behind by technology 4.0. If Dai Nam follows that path, it will not be able to develop. Therefore, we must have a different way. Accordingly, each lecturer of Dai Nam must not only be good at his/her profession but also be an excellent “coach” capable of guiding and igniting the passion for learning in the hearts of students. Dai Nam lecturers must be good at both theory and practical knowledge of the industry and subject they are in charge of. Lecturers must be guides, teaching students what they need to learn and achieve in this subject; how to research and study documents; how to self-study; create discussion sessions; guide practice... By all means, our school must train students to graduate with real output standards. Only then can we fulfill the school's mission of "making graduates have a good life and be good citizens"…” Dr. Le Dac Son emphasized.

The 4.0 technology revolution is changing people's lives every day, every hour. Grasping the 4.0 trend, Dai Nam University focuses on training and developing professions that are suitable for development trends such as: Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Information Technology, Business Administration, E-commerce, Tourism - Travel, Multimedia Communications, Automotive Engineering Technology... and language majors (English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese...)

Dr. Luong Cao Dong - Principal deployed the work of the new spring at the meeting.

“4.0 is an opportunity for schools to change and make breakthroughs. If they make a breakthrough quickly, they will develop and vice versa. Our Dai Nam is on the right track in choosing professions that are suitable for the learning needs of society. The Board of Directors and the Board of Directors will work directly with each faculty to make decisions and create stronger breakthroughs in the training of each industry, and must definitely create strong qualitative changes. For example, in medical training, in addition to specialized medical knowledge, Dai Nam medical students must be trained to be very good at English, soft skills, attitude and professional ethics. Dai Nam Information Technology students are given additional credits in social sciences, English, and soft skills. Teaching Business Administration must have teachers who are proficient in business administration, who are managers or business owners... Especially so that students who go on internships do not fall into the situation of "riding horses to see flowers", Dai Nam has been building its own businesses (system system of pharmacies, pharmaceutical factories, hospitals, hotels, etc.), paying internship fees to businesses... so that students can have real internships." The Chairman of the School Council clearly stated the training policy.

According to Dr. Le Dac Son, it takes 40-50 years for a business to develop and survive. Dai Nam University has only been established and developed for 14 years, and is still in the stage of survival and competition, requiring a lot of effort. Therefore, the Chairman of the Board of Directors hopes that the faculties will "bloom with a hundred flowers", and that each cadre, lecturer and employee will work together and be constantly creative. All ideas and initiatives to improve work are recognized, encouraged and used as criteria for year-end evaluation by the school's leaders.

The difficult and challenging year of Canh Ty 2020 has passed. Despite being heavily affected by the pandemic, Dai Nam still strived to successfully complete the goals of the 2019-2020 school year. Entering the year of Tan Suu 2021 - the "golden buffalo" is a symbol of determination, faith, perseverance and prosperity, we will certainly overcome all difficulties and obstacles to grow and become a trusted address for the choice of students, trainees and employers.
