Dear guests, teachers and parents,

Dear all new bachelors and engineers of Dai Nam University!

Four or five years ago, the day when more than 500 students of the 5th course hesitantly stepped into Dai Nam University, during the opening ceremony of their first academic year, I said “hello”, that was the greeting to welcome them as new students of the school, so that teachers and students could start together on the intellectual path during the 4.5 years they studied and cultivated at the school. The innocent, bewildered eyes of the first day they entered the university lecture hall are still vividly imprinted in my mind. Yet 4.5 years have passed, and now they have completed their studies at the school, so fast!

Congratulations to all of you - new graduates and engineers of Dai Nam University.

And today, before this farewell, I say again: Hello everyone. But this is a greeting to congratulate and then say goodbye, a farewell and send you off to a new life. You have become new bachelors, new engineers with enough knowledge to start building your career and long-term life. On behalf of all teachers, staff and employees of the school, I congratulate you, wish you always be confident and healthy to achieve success. Your images, voices, and laughter will forever be kept in the minds of teachers, kept in the lecture halls, and in the rows of trees of the school. I believe that in your souls, this beloved Dai Nam University will always be remembered.

I would like to borrow two lines of poetry from the late poet Che Lan Vien that I really like: "When we are here, the land is where we live - When we leave, the land suddenly becomes our soul" into two lines of poetry that I would like to send to you when saying goodbye:

“When I came, school was where I studied.

When you left, the school suddenly became my soul.

Dear children!

After graduating, you will go to the four corners of the world to start a career, you will work in many different agencies and businesses at home and abroad, you will become entrepreneurs, civil servants, you will succeed at different levels. All the achievements you have achieved will contribute to making our Dai Nam University more famous. On the school's side, I promise you, the teachers of the school will strive to build our Dai Nam University to soon become a big brand, a university that is loved and trusted by society. So that you will always be proud to be alumni of Dai Nam University.

Dear children!

In today's graduation ceremony, which is also the last chance for me to meet all of you graduates in this large hall of the school before saying goodbye, I would like to share a few heartfelt words with you:

Completing your university program is just the initial stage to create a foundation for you to confidently enter the workforce. However, to work better and better, you must constantly study and improve your professional knowledge in life as well as in books and in your working environment. Only then will you continuously acquire new knowledge to develop and be more successful in your career. In particular, you should continuously study English to achieve a TOIEC standard level higher than the 500 score you have after 4 years at school. If you achieve a score of 800 or higher, you will have a great opportunity to enter the common labor market of Southeast Asian countries in 2016... Once again, I repeat: English, English and English - very - very - important to your life now and forever.

Dear children! Our country is in a very difficult period, and corruption has become a dangerous internal enemy. There are no longer the golden forests, silver seas, and fertile lands that we were proud of. Due to the pursuit of economic growth at all costs, forests are being destroyed, minerals are being depleted, the sea is being encroached upon, rivers are being polluted and depleted, the living environment is becoming increasingly dangerous to public health... Outside, China continues to threaten to invade the seas and islands, encroach on the border land that our ancestors have shed blood and sweat to build for thousands of years. For that reason, I really hope that you will hate these two types of "internal and external" enemies, love the poor working people, and find ways to serve and build our Vietnamese homeland to be stronger.

I also have to honestly share with you that the generation of teachers, like your parents, have lived and suffered much pain, sacrifice and loss during the war. Together with their fathers and brothers, they bravely fought to regain freedom and peace for the nation. But now, in peacetime, most of them are content with their fate and indifferent to the worrying reality of the country. 40 years after the war, the generation of teachers should have built a rich and powerful Vietnam like Japan, Singapore, South Korea... But now the country is still poor, because of poverty, it has not been able to fully protect the island border areas that many generations of fathers and grandfathers built, China has been and is continuing to invade our country's islands... leaving your generation with many worries about the future of the country. Acknowledging this, I hope that the young generation, with their youth and awareness, will not, in pursuit of money at all costs, destroy culture, exploit depleted resources, pollute and destroy the living environment of the community. Live responsibly towards your parents, family and society. Do not be indifferent to the pain and hardship of the working people. When you have "positions and power", look down and pity your fellow countrymen and your country. Do not be cowardly towards the enemy, do not be cruel to the people. Be ashamed when the country falls behind and the people are poor. If each of us Vietnamese contributes a little to building the country, the country will develop and last forever. If we do not join hands in building but also sabotage, find ways to collect people's money into our pockets, making the country weak, then the danger of being invaded by foreign invaders is clear. Our children in this life and the next will forever live in humiliation and resentment towards us. I hope that you will understand more deeply what I have shared so that your generation will build Vietnam stronger than the current generation of teachers.

The last thing I want to tell you: No matter what agency, business or organization you work in, if you have the opportunity, help each other, welcome future generations from Dai Nam to intern and work as brothers under the same roof of Dai Nam!

The school is always by your side, always welcoming you back to visit this common home of Dai Nam...

Once again, goodbye everyone!

Wish you always healthy, happy and successful!

Teacher: Le Dac Son

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the school.
