The Faculty of Public Relations and Communications (QHCC&TT) of Dai Nam University organizes the "SPEAK UP - Dai Nam 2020" MC contest with a total prize of up to 15 million VND and many attractive rewards from sponsors.

In addition to professional knowledge, skills are one of the extremely important factors for a person's success. In particular, communication, presentation, situation handling, self-expression and persuasion skills are essential skills for students, contributing greatly to success in life. With the desire to discover, select and nurture young people with the ability to host programs; create a professional and modern practical experience environment for students to practice and hone their skills; connect Dai Nam students with students from other schools in Hanoi, the Faculty of Public Relations and Communications (QHCC&TT) of Dai Nam University organizes the MC contest "SPEAK UP - Dai Nam 2020" with a total prize of up to 15 million VND and many attractive prizes from sponsors.

TIME, PLACE

Preliminary round

  • Time: 14:00 – 17:00, Thursday, June 18, 2020.
  • Location: Conference Room 404, Vu Trong Phung campus.

Final round

  • Time: 19:00 – 22:00, Thursday, July 2, 2020.
  • Location: Great hall, Phu Lam facility, Ha Dong.

Content

Candidates participate in the preliminary round to select 12 candidates for the final round; candidates who make it to the final round will go through 3 rounds as required by the Organizing Committee.

For candidates who are high school, university and college students: there are 2 ways

For candidates who are students of Dai Nam University: there are 2 ways

  • Method 1: Candidates who register online please visit the following link: https://forms.gle/2p8XJHJ32wZdQuik7 (The Organizing Committee encourages candidates to register online).
  • Method 2: Candidates register directly with the Executive Committee of the Faculty Union, then the Faculty Union will compile and report to the Office of the Faculty of QHCC and TT.

Registration deadline: before 5:00 p.m. on June 17, 2020.

Participants

  • College and University students.
  • High school students.
  • Students of all systems are studying and living at Dai Nam University.

Contest criteria

  • Have basic knowledge of culture, economics, society, life...
  • Have good communication, presentation and situation handling skills.
  • Have good attitude, eager to learn, and inquisitive at work.
  • Have good ethics and culture.
  • Have passion and desire to become a presenter.

CONTEST RULES

Preliminary round

  • Candidates present a program segment on a topic of their choice for 3 - 5 minutes (register in advance with the Organizing Committee).
  • Judging criteria: Voice quality, outfit, demeanor and appearance.
  • Number of candidates selected for the final round: 12 candidates

Final round

a. Online voting section:

  • Each contestant submits 01 video hosting program on a topic of their choice with a maximum length of 3 minutes.
  • The video will be posted on the Fanpage of the Faculty of Public Relations and Communications ( https://www.facebook.com/QHCCDNU/ )
  • Voting time from June 25 to 5:00 p.m. July 1, 2020.
  • The contestant with the highest audience vote score will go straight to the Top 3 contestants in the final round. Scoring method:

Total score = social media voting score + entry reach score

In there:

  • Social media voting score = total voting score * 40%

+ Expressing emotions: 1 point

+ Sharing the contest entry: 2 points (not counted in private mode).

  • Contest entry reach score (based on Facebook analysis) = total reach * 60%

b. Dramatic competition:

Each candidate will have to take 3 exams including:

Part 1: Personal Challenge

  • Each contestant has 3 - 5 minutes to greet, introduce themselves and host a program of their choice.
  • Judging criteria: Voice quality, costume, appearance, style and audience interaction.

Part 2: Pair Challenge

  • Contestants draw pairs and competition topics before the final night.
  • Lottery topics: News, Scene, Game show, Event, Teambuilding, Column.
  • Each pair of contestants has a maximum of 03 minutes to perform their performance.
  • Part 1 and Part 2 will select 02 candidates into the top 3.

Part 3: Top 03 Situational Challenge

  • Candidates will host a program that they like the most.
  • The judges present unexpected situations or incidents during the organization of events to test the host's reflexes and courage.

IMPLEMENTATION ORGANIZATION

  • D+PR Media Club - Faculty of Public Relations and Communication is responsible for planning and organizing the contest.
  • Homeroom teachers and Secretaries of the Youth Union of each faculty are responsible for informing students in the faculty. Each Youth Union sends at least 1 student to participate in the competition.
  • The media team supports reporting articles, writing press releases, filming videos and images related to events, and designing media publications.
  • The International Relations Department supports facilities for the program.
  • D+PR Club is responsible for communicating with Universities, Colleges, and High Schools outside the school.
