Social Innovation Launch 2024: Students experience real-world innovation startups

Recently, the final round of the Social Innovation Launch 2024 competition - a creative startup playground for young people was held at Dai Nam University (DNU). With the participation of the best teams after surpassing teams from 63 universities and academies across the country, the event marked the journey of realizing innovative ideas for the community, converging the spirit of creativity, enthusiasm and aspirations of the young generation.

Creative startups - from ideas to practical action

Recognizing the role of practical skills in the entrepreneurial journey, SiL is organized by the Center for Student Employment and Entrepreneurship (Dai Nam University) and YOUTH+. This is not only a competition, but also an opportunity for students to gain real-world experience, connecting with experts, businesses and investors.

SiL affirms that starting a business is not simply about finding breakthrough ideas but a journey of learning, practicing and growing from reality. With the dedication of Dai Nam University, students are comprehensively developed in soft skills such as leadership, teamwork, time management, while building an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong entrepreneurial spirit.

The journey of breakthrough through each round

This year's competition made a strong impression with a series of multi-dimensional training and experience programs:

- SiL Discovery Bootcamp: Leadership skills training.

- Intensive training round: Equip yourself with startup knowledge from a team of more than 20 reputable mentors/trainers.

- Real-world experience: Bring ideas to life, face and solve real-world challenges.

Mr. Le Dac Lam - Vice Chairman of Dai Nam University Council, Chairman of VnTrip Vietnam Company Limited shared: “Dai Nam University not only trains knowledge but also gives students the opportunity to access useful skills, ready for their future careers. The SiL competition clearly demonstrates this dedication by helping students build creative thinking, initiative and confidence in their entrepreneurial journey.”

Candidates coming to SiL 2024 have developed leadership skills through the SiL DisCovery Bootcamp, equipped with startup knowledge through the SiL training round and experienced bringing projects to reality with more than 20 mentors/trainers from Universities, Centers and Enterprises across the country.

SiL 2024 Final: Race of Aspiration and Intelligence

The SiL 2024 Final is a "fierce" confrontation between 05 teams with potential projects, associated with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations:

1. Crystella: The magical crystal world

2. SEED: Application using AI technology to support TOPIK Speaking test preparation

3. Markat: Connect, share and create with AI.

4. Heatheal: Smart solution for all bone and joint problems.

5. MedDoDo: Medical English, easier than ever.

SiL 2024 is not just about awards. It is an opportunity for students to discover themselves, overcome their limits and gain valuable real-world experience.

Tran Dinh Long, a member of the HeatHeal team, shared: “I am very grateful to the Organizing Committee and the mentors for giving us such a valuable experience. The lessons about perseverance and startup thinking from the program will follow me throughout the upcoming journey.”
