Seminar: Improving the quality of teaching and training E-learning in 2017

On February 18, 2017, at Phu Lam Hall, a meeting between the leaders of Dai Nam University and the lecturers and staff took place with the topic "Improving the quality of teaching and training E-learning in 2017". The event aimed to discuss the school's strategy in the coming years, and at the same time, the Board of Directors also expressed their desire to listen to the thoughts and aspirations of the teachers.

The event aimed to discuss the school's strategy in the coming years , and at the same time, the Board of Directors also expressed their desire to listen to the thoughts and aspirations of the teachers.
Attending the seminar were Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dai Nam University; Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Trong Phuc - Principal of the school; Dr. Luong Cao Dong, Dr. Pham Van Nguyen, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa , Mr. Nguyen Viet Anh - Vice Principal of the school . The teachers were heads and deputy heads of faculties, departments and especially more than 100 lecturers in the school.
Attending the seminar were Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dai Nam University; Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Trong Phuc - Principal of the school; Dr. Luong Cao Dong, Dr. Pham Van Nguyen, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa , Mr. Nguyen Viet Anh - Vice Principal of the school . The teachers were heads and deputy heads of faculties, departments and especially more than 100 lecturers in the school.
Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Trong Phuc - Principal of Dai Nam University chaired the discussion.
At the beginning of the discussion, Dr. Le Dac Son presented 5 opinions of Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha on current Vietnamese higher education and the development strategy of Dai Nam University in the coming years. He especially emphasized the need to improve the quality of training, this is the school's survival path.
Mr. Son confidently affirmed that Dai Nam School has been operating for 10 years, surpassing the 5-year milestone , positioning its brand, overcoming the most difficulties; building its own direction;... According to the survey data of the Faculties, 95 % of graduates have jobs (40% of former employees, 30% of businesses and 25 % of self-employed). However, Dai Nam School is still not confident about the quality of training, teachers need to make more efforts, try harder, continue to promote the application of active teaching methods throughout the school in the second semester of the 2016-2017 school year.

E-learning Distance Training – A New Direction in Developing Training Quality
In 2017, Dai Nam University began implementing E-learning training, requiring each teacher to change themselves to improve quality . Faculties need to review and improve training programs, supplement necessary knowledge and skills so that graduates have the conditions to find jobs and be proactive in practical application.
Through various forms, the school encourages and facilitates teachers in the faculties to be proactive, positive and complete the best E-learning lectures. It is expected that the first 5 faculties to implement E-learning distance training are Finance and Banking, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Relations and Communications and Foreign Languages.
Mr. Dang Thanh Long, lecturer of the Faculty of Pharmacy shared: “We hope that the school's Board of Directors will support and help us clearly define and understand what our students need and want to study and develop themselves effectively. From there, the faculties in the school in general and the Faculty of Pharmacy in particular will develop a reasonable training program and build positive lecture standards.”
Building a positive training program and teaching standards is important.
Listening to the opinions of teachers, the school's Board of Directors affirmed: The training program of Dai Nam University is practical, the content is always improved. This year, the school has allocated funds to build practice rooms for all faculties, in line with the development trend of Vietnam. The issue is that the faculties need to quickly deploy the development of projects on training content, implementation plans and proposed funding to ensure quality improvement for students.
At the end of the discussion, on behalf of the school's Board of Directors, Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors sent his best wishes to all Dai Nam teachers and staff and wished the best things to come to Dai Nam. At the same time, he also earnestly hoped that teachers would take better care of their students , so that they would understand their feelings and remember their teachers even after many years of graduation . That is not only the duty but also the responsibility of a teacher when standing on the podium.
