School leaders discuss with young staff and lecturers

On the morning of March 12, 2016, Dai Nam University organized a discussion program between the school's leaders and young staff and lecturers working at the school.

With the desire to listen to the thoughts and aspirations of young cadres and lecturers; to share and discuss frankly with teachers about the advantages and difficulties that still exist in teaching, in order to have timely answers and advice to create the best conditions for young cadres and lecturers to complete their teaching and scientific research tasks, contributing to building the school stronger and stronger. On the morning of March 12, 2016, Dai Nam University organized a discussion program between the school's leaders and young cadres and lecturers working at the school. The discussion program is an activity organized by the leaders of Dai Nam University periodically once a year; is a democratic forum for the collective of cadres and lecturers of Dai Nam University, contributing to creating a dynamic and objective working environment for teachers.

The seminar was attended by Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Trong Phuc - Principal of the University, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Principal, representatives of leaders of Faculties, Departments and nearly 100 young lecturers of Dai Nam University .
At the beginning of the discussion, Dr. Le Dac Son shared with the teachers his heartfelt words as a teacher and leader of the school. He emphasized to the young lecturers the "heart" of a teacher, saying: "Young lecturers currently make up a large number at the school, I hope that with their youth and enthusiasm, teachers will devote themselves to their profession, imparting to Dai Nam students not only knowledge but also a way of life. The Board of Directors and the School's Board of Management cannot develop Dai Nam on their own but need the cooperation and solidarity of the collective of young staff and lecturers".

Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors hopes that young lecturers will devote themselves to building Dai Nam.

Speaking at the seminar, MSc. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Lecturer of the Faculty of Business Administration, a young lecturer who has been with the school for two years, Ms. Thuy shared: " I feel very lucky to work at the school. Dai Nam University is a private university with modern facilities, a dynamic working environment, the Board of Directors and the School's Board of Directors always care about and create favorable conditions for young staff and lecturers."

Regarding scientific research activities, many opinions and proposals were raised. Dr. Nguyen Huong Lan - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Finance and Banking proposed to organize more seminars on scientific research skills and methods for staff and lecturers; MSc. Phung Thanh Long - Lecturer of the Faculty of Pharmacy hoped that the University would create conditions for young staff and lecturers to participate in scientific research projects. This was also the opinion of many lecturers at the seminar such as MSc. Phung Van Than - Lecturer of the Faculty of Foreign Languages; MSc. Tran Thanh Binh - Faculty of Public Relations and Information Technology and MSc. Pham To Nga - Faculty of Information Technology.

Scientific research is an issue of interest to many young cadres and lecturers.

In addition, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh - Lecturer of the Faculty of Foreign Languages asked about the training and improvement of teaching skills and practical knowledge; she also proposed a solution for young staff and lecturers to participate in short-term courses to improve their teaching capacity. For lecturers of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, there should be courses with native speakers to innovate teaching methods and provide the most effective foreign language learning skills for students.

Lecturer Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh hopes that the School will create conditions for lecturers to participate in short-term courses to improve teaching skills.

Listening attentively and enthusiastically answering all the opinions of young lecturers until the last minute of the discussion, Chairman of the Board of Directors Le Dac Son and Principal Phan Trong Phuc said that the discussion was truly an opportunity for the school's leaders to receive a lot of information from young lecturers and also an opportunity for generations of the school to understand each other better.
Assessing the team of young staff and lecturers as the main force directly participating in the teaching activities of the School, the force that contributes significantly to the achievements that the School has achieved, however, Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Trong Phuc - Principal of the School also frankly pointed out the weaknesses of the team of young lecturers and reminded the young lecturers to be role models for students, or always maintain the standards of a Teacher from clothing to teaching culture, behavior with students and colleagues.
Concluding the discussion, the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the School's Board of Directors pledged to take note of and seriously study the opinions and proposals to propose measures to create conditions and provide necessary support to help young staff and lecturers best develop their personal capacity, actively contribute to the common work, and continue to promote solidarity and unanimity to build Dai Nam University to develop more and more strongly.
