“Say Hi Intern, Increase Real High”

In order to prepare students, create their style and situation handling skills before going to enterprises for practice and internship; recently, the Faculty of Soft Skills Training and Development of Dai Nam University organized the talk show "Say Hi Internship - Tang High Reality". The program received a lot of attention from students.

Sharing at the program, MSc. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Head of Soft Skills Training and Development Department affirmed: Internship is a valuable time for students to get acquainted with businesses, apply theory to practice, gain experience and expand job opportunities for themselves.

With many years of experience working in businesses and teaching, Ms. Thuy has concluded a truth: The attitude and working spirit of students are the key to "conquering" employers. Accordingly, many students have been signed official labor contracts by businesses during their internship period.

MSc. Nguyen Thi Thuy affirmed: Attitude and skills are the key factors to "convince" employers.

“You need to proactively improve your knowledge, practice your skills, work hard, and affirm your abilities to gain “plus points” with employers. In particular, always remember that attitude is more important than qualifications,” Ms. Thuy shared.

From an expert’s perspective, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa – Director of the young job connection platform FJob affirmed: “Students do not lack opportunities to find good jobs, in line with their major and with the ability to advance in their careers. However, to get that ideal ticket, young people must set goals and make every effort during their internship. Only then will they have the opportunity to become official employees at the enterprise.”

Ms. Hoa believes that with the motto of training in the direction of application, closely linked to the needs of businesses and society; students of Dai Nam University will have many advantages when applying to large enterprises.

At the program, Ms. Xuan Loc - Head of the Career Readness soft skills training project brought games and situations for students to discuss and give their views on practice and internship. This activity helps young people develop their judgment and situation handling skills...

The number of students graduating each year is increasing but the quality is not guaranteed, making recruitment at businesses more difficult than ever. Candidates must go through a thorough screening process. Therefore, internships become a "golden opportunity" for students.

Through the sharing of the speakers, we hope that young people will have a more realistic view of the labor market, criteria and recruitment needs of businesses. From there, they will be aware of improving their expertise, practicing skills and having a good attitude, expanding their network of relationships, and confidently asserting themselves when coming to businesses for internships.
