The sharing of a K12 Pharmacy student after soft skills lessons is so touching. It is not just a summary, it is a sincere feeling, a heartfelt sentiment for his parents. Although in his memories there are sad and shameful things, deep in his heart is a full of love for his parents.

Let's take a moment to listen to your friend's thoughts!

Hello my dear parents!

Surely my parents will be surprised, right? I was surprised from the first line of the letter that I sent my love to my parents - something I have never said to them before.

I know, when I was born, I disappointed my parents a lot because I was a girl, not a boy. I know, before me, there were many “older sisters” who could not be born. The day I was born was a big disappointment to my parents. My father was ridiculed by his uncles, and my mother heard bad things about herself.

That's why, when I grew up, I always wore boys' clothes and had a crew cut. At that time, my friends often teased me that I looked like a crazy person, and no one wanted to play with me.

Dad

Not only was I like a “crazy kid”, I was also very lazy to study. In first grade, I didn’t know how to count, couldn’t recognize letters, couldn’t even type, and didn’t even bother to study in class. Until now, I still remember the parent-teacher meeting in second grade, the teacher said I was so bad at studying that I might not be able to move up to the next grade. That night, my dad beat me so hard that my cheeks turned purple because I was a bad student. Dad said that I could only study but not become a person. I could only cry in front of my dad.

From that day on, although my father was very busy (my mother was working abroad), every night he tutored me until I could do it myself. Every lesson was full of whips and scolding because my father wanted me to become a more intelligent child, one who knew his own goals better.

Mom

Mom, do you know that it was the times you hit and scolded me that made me become callous? The way you scolded me and used words that made me feel like you were not my mother.

Mom, the first time I gave you a gift on March 8th, do you remember what you did with it? It was a picture that my teacher told me to “draw your love for mom on it with meaningful wishes for mom”. I was very excited, pouring all my feelings into it so that mom could see how much I love her. But it was you who ended my beautiful imagination. You held the picture, did not listen to my wishes and threw it straight into the trash.

From then on, I realized that my mother did not need the love from those gifts, and I would never give her any gifts or say any loving words anymore because they had no meaning to her.

Mom always criticizes me this and that, she always listens to others more than believes me. She never tries to find out if I'm right or wrong, she just slaps me and scolds me.

“I love you so much, Mom and Dad!”

When I was in 10th grade, I decided to study medicine because I really liked biology. However, when I told my parents about my plan, they dismissed it because they were afraid that I would be like my sister, because my family had no relatives working in the medical field. My parents were against me studying medicine to the end.

The pressure became even greater when I entered 12th grade. I tried my best to study well so that I could have a brighter future. But when I received my exam results, I was completely devastated and disappointed in myself. I was very sad and devastated because I could not get into the school I wanted. The school of my dreams had collapsed right in front of me.

I realized how disappointed you were because you had so much faith in me because I was a studious child with a tight schedule: mornings at school, afternoons at extra classes, evenings at the center, at the teacher's house, and still studying at home. I know that every parent wants their child to be successful. I sincerely apologize to you, Mom and Dad.

Family is a sacred feeling and the most peaceful shore of every human being.

And then my parents decided to enroll me in the Pharmacy program at Dai Nam University. When I entered the lecture hall and listened to the lectures of the teachers, I understood what my parents had gone through, the hardships they had endured to hope for a better life for me.

I understand that my parents are the ones who love me the most, always worry about us, always afraid that my sister and I will suffer, not be as good as our friends.

Thank you, Mom and Dad, for giving birth to me and loving me so much. Thank you, Mom and Dad, for helping me understand better so that I can find a brighter future. To have today, I understand that everything started from the muddy hands, exposed to the sun and rain of my parents.

Mom and Dad, I promise to study hard so as not to disappoint your expectations. I will be a successful person so that I can proudly stand in front of you and tell you, “I have succeeded.”

Maybe from now on I will have to learn to say "I love you, Mom and Dad" more often, and cherish the days when my parents are still with me, following my every step on the path of life.
I will say a lot, a lot that "I love you mom and dad so much!".
