Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dai Nam University has just signed a decision to sponsor the Ping Tour 2019 season. Accordingly, the Ping Tour 2019 season - Dai Nam University Cup will officially start on April 21, in Hanoi.
Purpose - Meaning of the Season

- Promote the movement of all classes from the elderly to students to use their spare time to participate in healthy and beneficial exercise activities;

- Create conditions for amateur athletes and clubs with athletes of different levels to still be able to form teams to participate in competitions;

- Update Scores and Rankings for participating athletes to record each person's progress as well as serve as a basis for handicapping matches that are equal, dramatic and attractive.

I. Competition content

The tournament consists of 1 mixed team event for 4 groups (DEF), according to the PingTour format of 9 matches (8 singles + 1 doubles), handicap. There must be a minimum of 12 teams or more to organize.

The maximum number of teams expected is 16. If there are more than 4 teams, an even number (20, 24…) will be taken to facilitate grouping. Priority will be given to teams that register early and have paid and completed all pre-registration procedures.

a. Target audience: The target audience is mainly for amateur athletes, level D and E, but there will be some extensions and limitations, specifically as follows:

- T5 to T6 last season ( T6 no more than 1 )
- Grade D ~ T5 ( number of T5 + T6 not more than 3 )
- Grade E ~ T4
- Rank F ~ T3 ( Only for those who have scored 400 in PingTour ).

Athletes with a level below D (below T5) participating for the first time will be ranked T4.
(Except for a few individual athletes when the Organizing Committee clearly knows that their level is below T4, they will be ranked T3).

Starting point at the beginning of the year: (Old) athletes who have participated will be assessed based on the previous year's score; (New) athletes who participate in the first year will be temporarily calculated based on the average score. When the ranking is reviewed, the adjusted score will be calculated based on the increased (decreased) score during the period according to PingTour rules.
b. Number of players per team: Minimum 7 ; Maximum 10 players.

Note:

- Before and during the tournament, if any athlete registers incorrectly or has a level too high for their registration rank, the Organizing Committee will consider re-ranking that athlete, or eliminate them if their level exceeds the tournament's target and cancel the match results of that athlete.

- Each athlete is only allowed to compete for one team.

- Each athlete participating in the season must be in good health to ensure competition. If any health problems occur during the competition, the Organizing Committee will not be responsible.

II. Competition registration

1. Register your team

- Each club in Hanoi and neighboring provinces has the right to register an unlimited number of teams. Teams are encouraged to be formed from members of the same club/playing group, and the practice of picking up players from many places with the intention of "Prize Hunting" is discouraged.

- Each team participating in the tournament must register a competition venue (including rented/borrowed) within the inner city of Hanoi as their home field. The home field must have at least 2 tables, including 01 table that meets competition standards with a flip-top board and commit to hanging the Tournament Banner throughout the season.

(Teams from districts/towns far from the center and from other provinces, if they cannot rent or borrow a home field, will contribute 100,000 VND for each match to build a home field for the Organizing Committee to rent the field for them - The Organizing Committee will support the difference in field rental) .

Review individual rankings:

- Basis for considering Up/Down Rank by points: When the athlete has had 3 rounds of actual competition with a score that is higher/lower, or at the time of ranking, the score is higher/lower than the rank he/she just competed in.

- Times for review of rank:

+ (Old) athletes who have PingTour points from the previous year will only be re-ranked after each Award Ceremony during the year;

+ First-year (new) athletes, in addition to the general review time with old athletes, will be re-reviewed for additional rankings, right at the following times: At the end of the round and after the 1/8 round if any, of each Round/Round with awards.

Individuals who move up/down beyond the original tournament categories may still participate until the end of the year, but must comply with the handicap rules according to the category after being considered.

IV - Discipline

The Organizing Committee calls on athletes participating in the competition to strictly comply with the tournament regulations, demonstrate solidarity, honesty, and nobility in their performance, and avoid match-fixing.

Each individual athlete/or team leader: Must not make any demands/demands that are contrary to the regulations of the Charter, or criticize/attack the specificity of the tournament rules when voluntarily participating. Must not make unconstructive, impolite, or inaccurate statements on mass media that affect the reputation of the tournament.

In case of violation, depending on the level, the Organizing Committee will consider handling it with measures such as: deducting points from the team's achievements, disqualifying individuals from competing, stripping medals and achievements (if any), or reviewing the participation qualifications of the violating teams and athletes in the next tournaments.

Those not listed in this Charter will refer to the additional Notices providing detailed instructions or to the PingTour Framework Rules, and the Adjustments that are beneficial to the Movement will be decided by the Organizing Committee at its sole discretion.
