June 1st is a holiday for children, for the young buds that nurture so much hope for their families, for the country… They are cherished and cared for, growing up and enjoying the best that their parents and relatives have to offer them. However, life is not fair, causing children to have to shoulder terrible diseases that are too much for their young souls…
With the desire to create a memorable and joyful Children's Day atmosphere for the children at K3 Hospital - Tan Trieu, helping them find faith in life and overcome all illnesses, teachers and students of Dai Nam University and Little Sun Club plan to continue organizing the gift giving program "Finding smiles on children's lips" on May 30, 2017 at Tan Trieu K Hospital, Hanoi.
"Finding smiles on children's lips" program of Little Sun Club
The program was attended by 22 students from the Little Sun Club of the Faculty of Business Administration, along with a team of volunteer students from Dai Nam University and teachers from the Faculty of Business Administration and Accounting of the University, especially the support of Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Principal of the University, MSc. Pham Van Minh - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Business Administration. In addition, there was also the cooperation of charitable enterprises, Ms. Trieu Thuy - Director of VP Bank, Tay Ho branch, Hanoi.
The program received great support from teachers and students of Dai Nam, and business organizations.
Accordingly, teachers and students of Dai Nam University presented 114 gifts, of which 78 were given to sick children and 36 were given to disadvantaged patients in the hospital.
Gifts prepared to be given to children
The gifts given are necessary and useful items such as mini fans, stainless steel lunch boxes, milk, cash, etc. Although the gifts are not of great value, they are a spiritual motivation to help the sick children have a warm and loving Tet holiday and feel the love from those around them, and confidently fight against the disease.
Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice Principal of Dai Nam University was moved: "In just 2 months, the number of children at Tan Trieu K Hospital has doubled. I could not bear to know that the children from the last 2 months we visited did not survive much. 4 children to a bed with bald heads, pale faces and dazed eyes. I just hope that people will not build any more thousand-billion-dong monuments or museums. Build more hospitals so that those young souls do not have to fight against illness and the heat and crampedness of 8 people on a 2 meter bed like this."

Looking at the innocent children who are suffering from illness, it is impossible not to feel sorry. “Looking at the photos taken this evening, my heart aches, I can’t hold back my tears. Only when I go there and witness each child’s story can I feel the pain and heartache. I feel sorry for the children who have not yet experienced their innocent childhood, I feel sorry for the innocent and sparkling eyes. Even though they are so young, they have suffered so much pain. Pain from chemotherapy and radiation, pain from being stuck in the hospital room all year round, with pain all over their arms and legs,…”, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy – Lecturer of the Faculty of Business Administration expressed.
Many pediatric patients' situations are truly pitiful.
Receiving the golden hearts of Dai Nam teachers and students on a meaningful Tet holiday not only helps the children feel more confident in life but also makes their parents extremely touched.

K Hospital with many truly touching situations
Ms. Thuy (Mother of Tran Quang Huy) shared: “I feel very happy and touched by the meaningful gifts for the children. Through this activity, I hope the children will have more confidence in life and face their illnesses. Thank you very much for the kindness of the teachers and students of Dai Nam for giving to the sick children here.”
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha (mother of Nguyen Minh Giang, 15 years old) said: “The gift is so meaningful that I don’t know what to say. As parents, we feel that we can share and sympathize with the situation, and believe in a bright future ahead.”
The program “Finding smiles on children’s lips” in the Project Management subject of the Faculty of Business Administration is truly meaningful and leaves many emotions in everyone’s heart. Through this, Dai Nam University in general and the Faculty of Business Administration in particular not only train students how to establish and operate a project, but also importantly train their personalities in the face of special circumstances in society. Hopefully, the loving hearts towards the children of K Hospital will always remain, lighting up the flame of love in everyone’s heart for children on June 1st.
