One building per year, Dai Nam University continues to start construction of a 15-storey student hotel

Following the construction of the GD2 building - 9 floors, the central building - 8 floors, the Startup building - 8 floors, on the morning of June 12, Dai Nam University solemnly held the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the 15-storey Student Hotel at the headquarters at 1 Pho Xom, Phu Lam, Ha Dong, Hanoi. This is a major construction item in the Dai Nam University Complex Construction Project Phase II with a total investment of up to 1,800 billion VND.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the School Council, Mr. Do Quan - Vice Chairman of the School Council, the Board of Directors, representatives of functional departments in the school, representatives of the contractor and the Project Management Board.

One building per year, Dai Nam University plans to complete the construction of the school complex phase II in 2027.

In June 2020, the Dai Nam University Complex Construction Project Phase II was officially granted a construction permit by Hanoi City. Dai Nam University is one of 229 enterprises in the capital and the only educational institution trusted by Hanoi City to decide to invest in building a school complex on an area of nearly 10 hectares in the center of Ha Dong District - Hanoi City.

Accordingly, in January 2021, the School officially held the Groundbreaking ceremony for the Project with a total investment of up to 1,800 billion VND.

The lecture hall system of GD2 building is modernly designed with full modern equipment, ensuring the best service for teaching and learning.

In May 2022, the lecture hall building - GD2 was handed over and put into use.

In April 2022, Dai Nam University continued to start construction of the Center building and Startup Center.

With a modern design, maximizing functionality, ensuring the high requirements of digital transformation in education, the Center building will be the official working headquarters of all leaders, staff, lecturers, and employees of the School.

In July 2023, the Center building will be officially handed over and put into use.

With a construction schedule of one building per year, Dai Nam University is expected to complete the construction of phase II of the school complex by 2027 to meet the training scale of 20,000 students/year.

What does Dai Nam University student hotel have?

Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the University Council said: With the project approved by Hanoi City, Dai Nam University started construction of a 15-storey student hotel with an area of 1,550m2, total floor area of 23,467m2 to accommodate 2,384 students. The hotel is designed in a modern style, fully equipped, managed and operated according to the model of a 2-4 star hotel, ensuring the different usage requirements of students (room for 1 student, room for 2 students, room for 4 students, room for 6 students, room for 8 students...)

The event continues to be one of the milestones in the history of construction and development of Dai Nam University, a turning point marking a strong shift in the development strategy and future vision of DNU in the new development stage.

It is expected that Dai Nam University Student Hotel will be handed over and put into use in March 2025. In addition, the University will carry out the construction and completion of the Startup building and many other construction items in the Phase II School Complex Construction Project.
