Official survey of educational institution accreditation cycle 2: Dai Nam University continuously improves quality, meeting the increasing learning needs of students

On the morning of October 25, Dai Nam University (DNU) officially welcomed the External Evaluation Delegation (EED) of the Center for Education Quality Assessment, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (CEA-VNU) to officially survey and assess the quality of education in the second cycle according to the criteria of the Ministry of Education and Training. This is an important milestone, marking the determination of Dai Nam University in constantly improving and enhancing the quality of training, meeting the requirements of learners and social standards.

Accordingly, the Evaluation Team will evaluate from October 25 to 29, 2024 with many important contents belonging to 25 standards and 111 criteria.

Attending the official survey, on the side of the Center for Quality Assurance of Education - VNU, there was the presence of Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien - Director of the Center.

On the side of the Delegation, there were Prof. Dr. People's Teacher Bang Tien Long - former Permanent Deputy Minister of Education and Training - Head of the Delegation; Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - former Head of the Department of Science Management and Development Cooperation, Institute for Education Quality Assurance - VNU - Secretary of the Delegation; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duy Cam - former Rector of the University of Natural Sciences - VNU - member; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi My Loc - former Rector of the University of Education - VNU - member; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Thu Thuy - Chairwoman of the Council of Foreign Trade University - member; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Minh - former Rector of Hanoi National University of Education - member; Dr. Do Tuan Minh - Chairman of the Council of Foreign Language University - VNU; MSc. Vu Duy Nam - Center for Education Quality Assessment - VNU - supervisor.

On behalf of Dai Nam University, there were Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the University Council, teachers in the University Council, Board of Directors, leaders of Faculties, Departments, Boards, Institutes, Centers and representatives of students of all courses.

Pioneering in accreditation, striving to improve quality from within for learners

Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien - Director of Center for Educational Quality Assurance - VNU delivered the opening speech.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien - Director of the Center for Educational Quality Assurance - VNU highly appreciated the preparation and progressive spirit of Dai Nam University.

She said: “Not all universities are willing to self-evaluate and frankly acknowledge their limitations, to evaluate externally to reflect and be recognized. Among the private schools, Dai Nam University is one of the pioneers in quality assessment at both the educational institution and training program levels. This is a clear demonstration of the efforts to improve and enhance training quality from within as well as demonstrating Dai Nam University’s strong commitment to quality accountability to learners and society.”

Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien added: “Students can be completely assured and confident when studying in an environment that conducts quality assessment seriously and objectively.”

Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Dai Nam University affirmed the school's commitment to improving the quality of education and its mission of serving society during the second cycle of accreditation.

Dr. Le Dac Son – Chairman of the Board of Dai Nam University affirmed that this is an important step forward for the university in improving and ensuring the quality of training. He emphasized that this evaluation process not only demonstrates the mission and vision but also affirms the social responsibility of Dai Nam. This is a testament to DNU’s relentless efforts in ensuring that graduates have adequate knowledge, skills, good attitudes, aim for a quality life and actively contribute to the innovation of higher education in the country.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Hong - Principal, Chairman of the self-assessment council presented an overview of Dai Nam University's achievements in the first cycle.

The Evaluation Team acknowledges and highly appreciates the results and efforts that Dai Nam University has achieved in the past 5 years, demonstrated through clear reports and evidence. The Team is committed to conducting the evaluation in a fair, objective and correct manner, ensuring that it accurately reflects the training quality of the school.

With this official survey, Dai Nam University not only aims to maintain and improve educational quality standards, but also affirms its commitment to continuous improvement to meet the expectations of learners and society. Dai Nam University believes that through the process of self-assessment and accreditation, the school will have even stronger changes in its activities, fulfilling its mission of providing quality human resources for the country, contributing to building a strong and powerful Vietnam.
