In order to educate the Vietnamese people on the tradition of “respecting teachers” and “remembering the source of water when drinking water”, recently, a delegation of medical staff, lecturers and students led by Dr. Le Thi Thanh Huong - Vice Principal of Dai Nam University came to offer incense in memory and express their gratitude to the founder of Vietnamese Medicine and Pharmacy - Famous Physician Zen Master Tue Tinh at the special national monument of Stele Temple (Hai Duong). Through this, the school also hopes that future generations of doctors at DNU will understand and be more proud of the example of medical ethics, thereby nurturing their love for the profession, creating motivation in studying and practicing to become good doctors with good expertise and good ethics.

At the historical and cultural relic of the Stele Temple, a delegation of cadres, lecturers, and medical students from Dai Nam University solemnly held an incense offering ceremony, respectfully bowing to the life and career of the famous physician Zen Master Tue Tinh.

Representative of the Board of Directors, Dr. Le Thi Thanh Huong said: “This is a meaningful and practical program for future doctors to cultivate medical ethics, respect and preserve the noble qualities of Vietnamese physicians as taught by our predecessors.”

Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Duc Hanh - Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dai Nam University shared: “Any medical student needs to come and offer incense at least once and learn about the life, career and contributions that the Great Physician Zen Master Tue Tinh left for posterity. Only when you understand correctly and fully about the profession, will you have the love, enthusiasm and courage to pursue the medical profession to the end…”

During the trip, students visited and admired the special national monument of Bia Temple. In addition, they also learned about the medical career and the great contributions of Zen Master Tue Tinh to Vietnamese Traditional Medicine.

Sharing about the trip, Hoang Gia Khanh - a student of General Medicine class 14.01 could not hide his joy and excitement: "I feel lucky to participate in meaningful activities of the Faculty. The trip is not only an opportunity for me to understand more about the major, about the founder of Vietnamese Medicine and Pharmacy - Zen Master Tue Tinh, but also an opportunity for me and my friends to understand and bond with each other more."
