Northern final, National Amateur English Olympic Competition 2015: Dai Nam won the award for most favorite clip

On the evening of October 22, at Nguyen Van Dao Hall - Hanoi National University, the Northern Regional Final of the 2015 National Non-Professional English Olympiad took place. This event responded to the activities welcoming the Party Congresses at all levels, the "5 Good Students" movement and the school year theme of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association , while contributing to the implementation of one of the seven key tasks in 2015 of the National Foreign Language Project 2020. This year's program with the theme "Students are creative, integrated and build an English learning community" created opportunities for young people to demonstrate their talents, love for English as well as their ability to integrate into the international arena.

Following the success of previous seasons, the 2015 National Non-English Olympiad attracted 80 units nationwide to participate. At the 2014 National Non-English Olympiad, Dai Nam University won 3rd prize in the Northern Regional Final. This year, Dai Nam University went through the preliminary round of clips with an impressive clip, creative in content and presentation. Surpassing more than 80 competing teams, Dai Nam University became one of the 6 best schools to participate in the Regional Final, the 2015 National Non-English Olympiad on the evening of October 22.

Learning from the 2014 competition, this year, the team prepared more carefully right from the preliminary round of clips. Not English major students, nor professional filming and editing teams, but all were students from many different faculties such as the Faculty of Construction - Architecture, the Faculty of Foreign Languages, the Faculty of Public Relations & Communications... together, united in ideas to create impressive clips, creatively expressing the right theme. Because of that, Dai Nam University won the award for the most favorite clip out of more than 80 clips of the teams competing in the Northern region.

After going through the preliminary round of clips, at the Regional Final on October 22, Dai Nam University and 5 competing teams, including the Academy of Journalism and Propaganda , People's Police Academy , Thang Long University , University of Transport , and High-Tech Vocational College, had to go through 3 rounds of competition (Round 1: greeting by acting; Round 2: Knowledge; Round 3: Debate).

At the Regional Final, the Dai Nam University team successfully completed round 1 with the drama performance. Dai Nam students demonstrated their English speaking ability, as well as their confidence in expressing their English language. However, after round 2: answering social knowledge questions, Dai Nam University team could not continue to round 3 (debate), but Dai Nam University students left a deep impression on the judges and the audience with a very creative greeting drama.

Dai Nam University and 5 teams performed excellently, bringing the audience an impressive and creative competition night.

This year, although Dai Nam University did not achieve high results, with the award for the most favorite clip in the 2015 Non-Professional English Olympic Contest, Northern region. Dai Nam University students have once again affirmed themselves, the quality of training as well as the position of the school with universities and academies in the country's education system.
