For schools that use the results of the national high school exam for admission, they can only consider candidates who have registered to use the exam results for university and college admission. Thus, the results of the entrance exam at schools that have their own admission will not be used for admission at schools that organize national exams.
New information from the Government said that the Ministry of Education and Training has just issued a document guiding universities, academies, colleges and Departments of Education and Training on organizing regular university and college enrollment in 2015.
About the organization of enrollment
For schools that use the results of the national high school exam for admission, they can only consider candidates who have registered to use the exam results for university and college admission. Thus, the exam results at schools that have separate admissions will not be used for admission at schools that organize national exams.
Universities and colleges using the results of the national exam will organize the reception of candidates' application documents, return the application documents to candidates who wish to withdraw their application (for the first choice); update the application documents of candidates applying for admission to the school on the national admission data management system.

Schools that organize preliminary selection and schools that organize aptitude tests need to develop a preliminary selection plan or aptitude test and ensure that the preliminary selection or aptitude test results are available before August 1, 2015. These schools are responsible for updating the national enrollment data management system after having the results of the list of candidates who have met the preliminary selection requirements (with the ID card number or the national high school exam registration number of the candidate); the list of candidates taking the exam (with the ID card number or the national high school exam registration number of the candidate) and the aptitude test results.
The deadline for application is October 31, 2015 for universities and November 20, 2015 for colleges.
The failing score is 1.0.
The priority score is determined on a 10-point scale and the maximum total score of the 3 subjects in the admission combination is 30.
Schools that use a different scale than the 10-point scale or the maximum total score of the 3 subjects in the admission combination is different from 30 (for example, in the case of multiplying the coefficient of the main exam subject), must convert the admission score to the above 10-point scale, then add priority points or must convert the priority points to the scale that the school is using.
Candidates who want to apply to schools that use the results of the national high school exam for admission must apply to use the results of the national high school exam for university and college admission. The total score of the subjects in the subject group used for admission must not be lower than the admission score set by the school and no subject in the admission group has a score of 1.0 or lower.
Before each admission round, schools must publicly announce the following information on their websites: Quotas for majors or groups of majors (collectively referred to as majors) for that admission round; combinations of exam subjects used for admission to each major. In the case of using multiple combinations of exam subjects for admission to a major, the school must clearly specify the admission method for each combination.
Candidates should note: For majors that schools have recruited from 2014 or earlier, they must reserve at least 75% of their enrollment quota for admission based on traditional exam blocks (exam blocks applied from 2014 or earlier);
When candidates have the same admission score, additional conditions will have to be used. These additional conditions will be determined by the schools themselves.
The admission score must not be lower than the input quality assurance threshold prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training and must ensure the requirement: the admission score of the next admission round must not be lower than the admission score of the previous admission round.
Schools base on the determined enrollment quota, after deducting the number of candidates admitted directly (including the number of preparatory students of the school and students of preparatory schools assigned to the school); base on the regulations on priority score framework and enrollment area; base on the results of analyzing the response to the registration wishes of candidates for the school's majors provided by the computer, the Secretariat submits to the school's Admissions Council for consideration and decision on the admission score plan.
This year, candidates can participate in a maximum of 5 admission rounds including: 1 first admission round and 4 additional admission rounds. Admission round 1 from August 1 to August 20 - results announced on August 25. Additional admission round I from August 25 to September 15 - results announced latest on September 20. Additional admission round II from September 20 to October 5. Additional admission round III from October 10 to October 25. The final additional admission round will be from October 31 to November 15.
Notably, during the application period for each admission round, every three days, schools must publicly announce the list of candidates who have registered for admission by major and rank them from highest to lowest on the school's website.
Thus, candidates can be completely proactive in choosing schools to apply for with the highest chance of admission.
