For the 2015 national high school exam, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) organized 38 national exam clusters across the country. Up to this point, many students and parents are still worried about finding places to eat and stay at the exam clusters for graduation and university and college admission in the provinces in the upcoming exam days.

There is still more than a month to go before the 2015 national high school exam , but Nguyen Thanh Huyen, a 12th grade student at Luong Van Tuy High School for the Gifted (Ninh Binh) is worried because she has not found a place to stay in Thanh Hoa during the exam days. “ I am very worried because this is the first year of the new high school exam. I live in Ninh Binh, will take the exam with the Thanh Hoa cluster and will stay in Thanh Hoa for a week. If I were in Hanoi, there would be more facilities such as food and lodging, but in Thanh Hoa, I still do not know where I will stay during the exam days ,” Huyen shared.

More than a month until the 2015 National High School Exam

Sharing the same concern about finding a place to stay during the exam days, Ms. Nguyen Thi Luu, in Van Giang town (Hung Yen), whose child is taking the exam this year, said that according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, students from Hung Yen province will take the exam at the National High School Exam Cluster No. 23, held in Thai Binh province, hosted by Thai Binh Medical University. The family has no relatives in Thai Binh, so it is not known whether they can find a place to stay near the exam location or not. Ms. Luu said: " When the day is near, we have to go and explore, finding a place a few days in advance is also difficult ."

The concerns of student Nguyen Thanh Huyen and parents like Ms. Nguyen Thi Luu about food and accommodation during the upcoming exam days are also common concerns of many students and parents who will take the national high school exam at exam clusters for graduation and university and college admission in the provinces. National exam clusters in big cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho... and regional universities, because they still organize university and college entrance exams every year, will not have any major changes this year, and will ensure adequate facilities, food and accommodation for candidates. As for exam clusters that are being managed by local universities for the first time, they may encounter difficulties. The reason is that in previous years, these schools only organized exams in many different sessions, so the conditions for supporting candidates and their families are all met. However, this year's exam has seen a sudden increase in the number of candidates in each exam cluster, up to tens of thousands of candidates, in many different localities, so finding accommodation near the exam site will not be easy. Some exam clusters have a large number of candidates, so exam sites must be arranged in districts, so finding accommodation is even more difficult than exam sites in the city.

According to Mr. Dinh Trung Tuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Lai Chau province, up to this point, many universities hosting the national exam clusters have just completed surveying the facilities of the exam sites, and there is no information to support candidates with accommodation during the exam days. In the immediate future, the Department of Education and Training of Lai Chau is working on a plan to support candidates with difficult circumstances when taking the 2015 national high school exam.

“ It may be more difficult for other provinces, but I think that is only a few, but basically the candidates are more favorable. Lai Chau province takes the exam below Hung Vuong University. The Department has consulted with the Provincial People's Committee and proposed to the People's Council to support disadvantaged students to take the exam. In the near future, we will deploy support for them ,” said Mr. Tuan.

This year is the first year of organizing the national high school exam , so there will be some difficulties for both students and universities hosting the national high school exam cluster. Therefore, it is necessary to have the support and assistance of local authorities as well as local people in ensuring material conditions, food and accommodation so that candidates can confidently enter the national exam and achieve the highest results.
