Memories and lessons more valuable than cash from military semester

The most memorable time in each person's student life is probably the military semester, when you have to study and live according to the strict discipline of the military environment. The days of military study are hard but full of joy and meaningful experiences. After 28 days and nights as a soldier, everyone becomes stronger and more mature, learning the discipline, serious demeanor, perseverance and indomitable will of a soldier. Besides that, there are beautiful memories of teachers, comrades...
National Defense and Security Semester - an unforgettable memory for every student.
Discipline and concentration need to be practiced from the smallest actions.
The characteristic of the National Defense - Security semester is that studying and living together are closely linked to the collective. In such an environment, the boys and girls will surely come up with all sorts of mischievous tricks; many years later, everyone will still be excited to show off their "achievements" of 28 days and nights of "bruising under the sun and wind of the training ground".
Thế Tài – a student of the QTKD class TH 14-02 told the story: “Once, when the teacher was instructing on how to shoot, I didn’t listen to the lecture but turned around to talk privately, then conveniently played with the tree trunk next to me. The teacher discovered it and made me stand and hug the ‘tree comrade’ for the rest of the 2 periods. That punishment helped me understand that discipline and concentration need to be practiced in every smallest action.”
First is devil, second is spirit, third is student.
Quick and flexible to handle situations in life
Hoang Diep - a student of class QTKD15-01 shared: "When the alarm goes off, we have a maximum of 1 minute to gather our belongings in the most neat and convenient way to carry when marching. Slippers are very cumbersome to put in backpacks, so we have to use a strap to tie them to our bodies. In a short time without finding a strap, many students have taken advantage of phone chargers, computer chargers, etc. to tie their slippers."
Through such alarms, not only Hoang Diep but also other students learned many lessons about being quick and flexible to handle situations in life.
Whatever you do, you must be meticulous, careful, patient and never give up.
The punishments during the National Defense and Security semester will certainly be on the list of unforgettable memories of every student.
Nguyen Quynh - a student of QTKD class 15-06 shared: “Because we did not fold the blankets properly, we were immediately punished by staying up all afternoon to fold the blankets until we had a perfect square. We sat in the hallway folding the internal affairs, but the whole company still had to keep quiet so that the company next door could sleep. This room and that room kept whispering, 'Have you finished folding yet? Come help me?', 'If you don't fold it well, you can fold it again tomorrow afternoon.' That was an unforgettable memory that taught me that no matter what I do, I have to be meticulous, careful, patient, and never give up."
28 days and nights of military discipline training will help students become more mature and ready to face all challenges in life.
Small mistakes of individuals can affect the whole group.
An Duyen, a student of class TT 15-02, said: “Standards in daily activities are the minimum requirements when studying National Defense. Once, when all the lights were turned off to rest, instead of going to bed, my best friend and I sneaked out to the playground and were caught by the teacher. At that time, not only were we punished, but the whole room had to march around the school – including those who did not violate the rules. That punishment taught me a lesson that a small personal mistake can affect the whole group. From now on, no matter what I do, I will be careful so as not to cause consequences that affect the people around me.”
Have close friends
Coming from class TCNH 14-01, Nhu Quynh shared: “In the first days of school, I was very confused by the change in living environment. But after only a few days, thanks to the collective activities, I quickly adapted to military life. Every day, we ate meals filled with family affection; in the evening, we had collective activities, cultural exchanges... Thanks to those activities, I made more close friends.”
Mai Anh - a student of QTDL class 16-01 shared: “At the beginning of the National Defense - Security semester, I and some other friends had conflicts with each other. However, after a period of training, living together, and going through a series of challenges, we learned to get along better and help each other when facing difficulties. After 28 days of training, we suddenly became close in a very natural way.”
After 28 days at the National Defense - Security semester, students of Dai Nam University have made close friends.
The leisurely, romantic moments of DNU soldiers
Hai Yen from the English Language Department shared: “For me, the best thing is that no matter what season I go to military school, there are countless check-in spots. We study National Defense in the summer, the season when the golden royal poinciana, bright red royal poinciana, and brilliant pink wallflowers bloom… extremely poetic, wherever I go, I have beautiful photos to look back on my student life later.”

After 28 days and nights of National Defense and Security training, Dai Nam University students have gained valuable lessons, close friends and unforgettable memories. Not only do they have 28 days and nights of training, but they are also valuable provisions so that when they leave school and step out into life, they can always stand strong and steady on their own two feet.
