With the aim of helping new students of the Faculty of Pharmacy K12 better understand the major, training program of the Faculty, future career opportunities as well as strengthen the connection between teachers and students, between members, on the morning of October 6, Dai Nam University organized a meeting for new students of the Faculty of Pharmacy K12 at Phu Lam campus - Ha Dong - Hanoi.
With the aim of helping new students of the Faculty of Pharmacy K12 better understand the major, training program of the Faculty, future career opportunities as well as strengthen the connection between teachers and students, between members, on the morning of October 6, Dai Nam University organized a meeting for new students of the Faculty of Pharmacy K12 at Phu Lam campus - Ha Dong - Hanoi.

Dr. Pham Van Nguyen gave the opening speech at the meeting on the morning of October 6.
Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Pham Van Nguyen sent a warm welcome to all new students of K12 ; shared the school's educational philosophy and viewpoints , the development trend of the Pharmacy industry and career opportunities for Pharmacy Bachelors in the period of international integration.
According to Dr. Nguyen, the Faculty of Pharmacy is one of the strong and key faculties of Dai Nam University. “Linking training with practice”; “learning to practice” ; training generations of pharmacists who are good at their profession and have good moral qualities; becoming a prestigious and high-quality university pharmacist training address, highly trusted by society is the “compass” and goal of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
“ The training program of the Faculty of Pharmacy is very specific, training generations of pharmacists working in the field of drug preparation and human health care. Before developing the training program, the Faculty conducted a very specific survey of the actual needs of the market. The purpose is to build a training program framework that is suitable for actual requirements. To improve the quality of training, the Faculty always strives to find breakthrough improvements in teaching. After graduation, students of the Faculty of Pharmacy must have good professional qualifications, good moral qualities, and ensure foreign language requirements to be able to work in any position in and outside the country…”, Dr. Pham Van Nguyen shared.
Difficult passes
It is known that in the 2017-2018 school year , the Faculty of Pharmacy had 4 students successfully defend their graduation thesis in English and one of those students was retained at Dai Nam University to work and continue studying .
After the sharing of Dr. Pham Van Nguyen, the class monitor and secretary of 8 classes of class 12, introduced all new students of class 12. This is the core force to promote the learning activities and extracurricular movements of the new students .

In the 2018 enrollment season , the Faculty of Pharmacy completed its enrollment target , including 53 students from Laos .
Following the program, MSc. Do Hai Ha - Head of Academic Affairs Department spent time sharing about the training program, training content and output standards of students of the Faculty of Pharmacy. According to Ms. Hai Ha, students of the Faculty of Pharmacy will be trained for 5 years with 166 credits and receive a regular university degree upon graduation. " In addition to general and specialized subjects, students of the Faculty of Pharmacy will have additional soft skills lessons. This is one of the differences of the 2018 training program compared to previous school years", Ms. Ha emphasized.
According to Ms. Hai Ha, the first hurdle for students of the Faculty of Pharmacy is 3 subjects: Biology, Physics and Pharmacy Practice. In the second semester, with the subject of botany, for the first time, students of the Faculty of Pharmacy will have an oral exam and will have their scores immediately after the exam ends. The subject of General Inorganic Chemistry of Plants is warned to be a subject that many students have failed and had to retake and retake.
To complete a subject, Pharmacy students need to ensure the following factors: only be absent for a maximum of 20% of the number of periods (theory), fully participate in practical classes, and have a total score of ≥ 5.0 (including 10% attendance, 30% tests, and 60% final exam).
Wide open career opportunities
Dr. Pham Van Nguyen said that after graduation, students of the Faculty of Pharmacy can apply for jobs as Specialist Pharmacist 1, Specialist Pharmacist 2, pharmaceutical business, etc. The output standards of the Pharmacy major of Dai Nam University ensure that graduates have a university degree, good political qualities and solid specialized knowledge, ensuring job requirements.
