Mayor of Buzen City, Japan visits and works at Dai Nam University: Opening up many internship and work opportunities in Japan for students

This visit and work of the Delegation is part of the program of visiting and working with ministries and branches in Vietnam.
Mayor Goto Motohide visited and worked at Dai Nam University.
Welcoming and working with the Delegation, on the side of Dai Nam University, there were Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the University Council, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Hong - Principal and all leaders, lecturers, and students of the Faculty of Japanese Language & Culture and the Faculty of Nursing.
On the side of the Buzen city government and business delegation, there were Mr. Goto Motohide - Mayor, Mr. Shigeyoshi Hironori - Head of International Cooperation Department, Ms. Ngo Thi Nhung - Specialist of International Cooperation Department and representatives of Buzen city businesses.
Dr. Le Dac Son welcomed the Buzen City Government Delegation to visit and work at DNU.
At the beginning of the working session, Dr. Le Dac Son gave an overview of the vision, mission and activities of Dai Nam University during the 15 years of its establishment. Dr. Le Dac Son said that the English - Chinese - Korean - Japanese language majors are the majors that Dai Nam University has paid special attention to investing in and developing. Particularly for the Japanese Language major, Dai Nam University aims that students must be trained in the best environment in Vietnam. Therefore, the University pays great attention to training cooperation with businesses and has signed agreements with many Japanese partners to promote student training according to the model of "training unit - business community".
Dr. Le Dac Son hopes that the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture will be a bright spot in Japanese language training in the Northern region: “With the cooperation between Buzen City and Dai Nam University, the two sides will come up with solutions to support students majoring in Japanese Language and 21 other majors of the university to experience, intern and work in Japan. Dai Nam University is committed to meeting the requirements of Japanese enterprises regarding the skills and Japanese proficiency of students upon graduation.”
Mayor Goto Motohide shared policies to attract foreign human resources, especially Vietnamese students, to intern and work in Japan.
At the meeting, Mayor Goto Motohide introduced the strengths of Buzen City along with support policies for students to do internships at the city's Sateraito Campus for 6-12 months. Accordingly, the Government will support students with housing and jobs when they do their internships. He hopes that after completing their internships, students will improve their working capacity, Japanese language skills and will be able to return to Buzen City to work long-term in the future.
After the meeting and working session, the delegation visited Dai Nam University. Mayor Goto Motohide expressed his impression of the school's development scale, infrastructure system, development orientation, especially the dynamism, friendliness and Japanese speaking ability of DNU students.
“We highly appreciate the students’ abilities as well as the learning environment at Dai Nam University. I hope that the two sides will have deep and extensive cooperation in the future to bring many internship and work opportunities for the school’s students in Buzen City, Japan,” said Mayor Goto Motohide.

The Faculty has been expanding cooperation with Japanese businesses and authorities to create an environment for internships, experiences and jobs for students after graduation.
