In order to improve the ability to conduct scientific research for Foreign Language students as well as introduce school-level scientific research topics, thereby supplementing students' knowledge about social issues, on May 25, the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Dai Nam University organized the 2017-2018 School-level Student Scientific Research Conference.
In order to improve the ability to conduct scientific research for Foreign Language students as well as introduce school-level scientific research topics, thereby supplementing students' knowledge about social issues, on May 25, the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Dai Nam University organized the 2017-2018 School-level Student Scientific Research Conference.
The Student Scientific Research Conference is an annual activity organized with the aim of helping students equip themselves with the necessary skills and knowledge in scientific and technological innovation activities. At the same time, it creates an academic environment that promotes passion and nurtures students' creativity.
This year, the Foreign Language Faculty Council has selected research projects that have high practical applicability and can solve practical problems regarding the current foreign language learning situation of students.

Speaking at the conference, Dr. Luong Cao Dong - Principal of the school sent his congratulations to the students whose projects participated in the conference. Student scientific research activities are an important annual activity of the school. Through this activity, students have the opportunity to accumulate experience, learn scientific thinking methods, problem solving, scientific report writing methods, teamwork as well as presenting scientific results and ideas. Especially when doing research, students have the opportunity to experience and work with teachers in practical research projects or research topics at all levels.

Accordingly, the Council selected 01 First Prize for student Doan Minh Hung - student of class TA08-01 with the topic: "Pronunciation errors at the end of first year students of Dai Nam University often make" ; 01 Second Prize for students Tran Thi Nhan and Nguyen Thanh Nga, class TA10-01 with the topic: "The current situation of learning English vocabulary of second year students of Dai Nam University" ; 01 Third Prize for students Vo Thi Thao Anh and Le Thi Van, students of class TA08-01 with the topic : "Passive sentences and some suggestions on how to translate passive sentences in commercial contracts" ; and 01 Encouragement Prize for students Nguyen Thu Hien and Nguyen Thi Nhung, class TA09-01 with the topic: "Comparing the use of active and passive sentences between English and Vietnamese".

Awarding prizes for outstanding topics participating in the Foreign Language Faculty Scientific Research Conference in the 2017-2018 school year
At the conference, Dr. Dang Ngoc Huong - Head of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Chairman of the thesis evaluation board highly appreciated the scientific research works of students in the 2017-2018 school year. The topics have practical application orientation in foreign language theory and practice. The scientific works of students can spread and create a movement of students doing scientific research in Dai Nam University in particular and universities in general.

This activity once again demonstrates the efforts of teachers and students of Dai Nam University in general and the Faculty of Foreign Languages in particular in education and improving the quality of university training. The student scientific research conference is truly a forum to help students consolidate and improve their knowledge, equip them with learning methods, and access new knowledge, applying knowledge in their own way and in student groups. The conference is a highlight in the movement to develop student scientific research at Dai Nam University in the 2017-2018 school year.
