Many job opportunities in Japan for Vietnamese students

"I will do my best to bridge the gap between Vietnamese, Japanese and American people, and hope we can work together. I really appreciate having this opportunity to communicate with each other."
These are valuable statements by Professor Norihiro Matsuoka MD, Kyoto University, Chairman of the Japan Medical Corporation, when attending the International Conference: "Nursing and caring for the elderly in Vietnam: lessons from Japan".
One of the world's ten most important industry trends
That is the Nursing profession (Entrepreneur Magazine (USA) listed Nursing as one of the 10 important career trends in the world).
Nursing has developed into a multidisciplinary field of study. Nursing has developed into an essential public service, needed by everyone and every family.
The need for quality care is increasing in every country. However, there is currently a shortage of nurses in many countries, especially in developed countries.
Japan is currently facing a rapid population decline due to falling birth rates and an aging population. The country has the highest median age in the world at 46, while the US is 37 and Vietnam is 30.
Medical costs increase as the average age increases. That explains why Japan's medical costs are much higher than in other countries.
With a rapidly aging society, the Japanese government is vigorously promoting home health care.
Compared to the international average, the number of doctors per citizen in Japan is small, as is the number of nurses, especially in nursing care. As a result, it is a very clear fact that 3 out of 4 nursing homes cannot hire caregivers.
In Vietnam, there are still many challenges. There is a lack of teachers and leading experts in Nursing. Nearly 70% of the nursing teaching staff must be doctors.
Nursing Science has not developed in time with the advances of world Nursing. Nurses have not been trained to provide proactive and professional care.
Vietnam will have a strong workforce.
Professor Norihiro Matsuoka MD of Kyoto University, President of the Japan Medical Corporation, in his speech at this conference, raised many issues that Vietnamese students are interested in.
He also said that many cooperation projects in various fields between Vietnam and Japan are starting to involve labor relations.
Since 1992, Japan has been providing technical skills training. Currently, 30,000 people from various fields of Vietnam have come to Japan. These forces are contributing to the economic development and cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.
It is estimated that in the next 5 to 10 years, Vietnam will have a strong workforce. And organizations in Japan are always interested in this.
AJK is the Asia Human Resources Support Organization. This organization also helps young Vietnamese people with high scores to enter social welfare vocational schools in Japan,
"At AJK, we have started supporting nursing students of social welfare vocational schools. We support tuition fees for candidates who want to come to Japan. Not only Japan, but also other countries in Asia will have to deal with an aging society. Therefore, we recommend that you go abroad, come to Japan to learn about aging welfare.
Recently, many Vietnamese students, doctors and nurses have visited Japan, and I think it is important to maintain this excellent relationship. I will do my best to bridge the gap between Vietnamese, Japanese and American people, and hope we can work together. I really appreciate having this opportunity to communicate with each other" - Professor Norihiro Matsuoka MD, Kyoto University, President of Japan Medical Corporation shared.
University training policy according to order batch
At the workshop: "Nursing and caring for the elderly in Vietnam - lessons from Japan", representatives of the Ministry of Health, leaders of Dai Nam University and Japanese representatives brought a comprehensive, multifaceted picture of the nursing profession in the world and Vietnam.
The workshop discussed valuable lessons learned in nursing; assessed the current situation of nursing in Vietnam; and proposed methods for training nursing bachelors to meet social needs.
Mr. Le Dac Son also participated in many interesting discussion questions at this Workshop. And what he was most concerned about was that the domestic nursing demand is very large, so both sides should have a solution to increase the number of Vietnamese students going to Japan.
Sharing about the training orientation for students in this profession, Mr. Son affirmed:
"We always identify nursing as a science and art, so we train nursing students at Dai Nam University to always ensure comprehensiveness between mind and heart.
Only then will the patient's consent be obtained, and the student will be able to perform the patient care process under the close supervision of the hospital's Nursing teacher.
The content and training methods of nursing bachelor program at Dai Nam University meet social needs.
On that basis, new students will improve their skills and meet the recruitment requirements of domestic and international medical facilities. With the goal that when students graduate with a bachelor's degree in nursing, they will have enough capacity to meet the requirements of all assigned work positions."
