Le Thi Mai Thao was born on March 10, 1991, her hometown is Nghe An. Born into a family with no one in the art industry, Thao loves photography and beauty. After graduating from Dai Nam University with a degree in Business Administration, she was determined to build her career pursuing her passion for art. And after 4 years of graduation, TaniLee Bridal studio located at 75B Thuy Khue - Tay Ho of the young owner Mai Thao has become a prestigious address for brides, grooms and young people in Hanoi.

When I received the topic of writing about her and her startup story, I searched the store's Facebook, personal Facebook and website to read and learn. I only intended to ask her permission to write the article, not to interview her, but if so, it would have the color of a PR article and not about experience anymore. It is very difficult to meet her these days when she has just become a mother for more than a month. I was mentally prepared to write an inbox but it was not until 11pm that she could reply. The story with her has really inspired me.
The journey begins with passion
I asked her why she chose the path of entrepreneurship, why she was able to maintain it, she simply answered: “Because that is what I am passionate about. Since I was in school, I have been passionate about photography, my job is just to take pictures to earn money and then go to school”. For a girl, I think the path of photography is really hard. It requires technical factors, an artistic eye and personal talent. The path of entrepreneurship is full of thorns, but it is because of her passion that she is determined to pursue it to the end. The process from a graduation thesis to opening and operating a studio is actually very different. In order for her studio to operate well, she had to invest a lot of money. In fact, she has shown that if she puts her passion and effort into the right profession she loves, she will reap success. The revenue from her studio during peak season can reach several hundred million - a large number for young people starting a business.

Meticulousness and professionalism create worthy results
That is the slogan that Ms. Thao has set for her studio. Instead of following the trend of competitive prices, she has oriented her brand with quality. Any customer who comes to her studio will be satisfied, not from any empty promises that their products will exceed expectations, but the quality of the pictures will show her effort and dedication to customers. That is the core value of Tanilee Studio, helping the brand stand firm and develop in the market.

Passion, if not guided in the right direction, can easily lead to mistakes. Although her first business venture was unsuccessful, causing her to incur a large debt, she quickly stood up and established Tanilee Studio on her own just 10 days later. According to her, 4 years of university helped her a lot in practicing life skills as well as making her more confident, although it was not until her last days in school that she realized what she really wanted to pursue.

Studying Business Administration, she has a good understanding of how to operate a business. She has a way to save costs for the studio with a small start-up capital: looking for freelancers for side activities such as makeup, transportation, and machinery accessories; when there are projects that need it, she will gather a team without spending much on maintaining her studio. She said that the losses greatly affect the main business activities in terms of human resources and capital. If these two resources are not well controlled, it is easy to fall without realizing it, especially when she operates in an industry with great competition and constantly changing trends like photography.
With all the success she has achieved, she never allows herself to rest on her laurels. Her schedule is always full from morning to night. She has shown me that to achieve good results, there is no other way but to try 200% of your strength.
“Young people, keep being ambitious and be foolish, don’t be afraid to challenge yourself. You keep making mistakes and you will find the right direction. Standing still will never reach the destination you desire.”
