Launching DNU Programming Club: An academic playground for young people passionate about programming

In order to promote initiative and creativity in learning and scientific research, and create a healthy playground for students to exchange and share programming experiences, recently, the Faculty of Computer Science (KHMT) of Dai Nam University has established and launched the DNU Programming Club.
Attending the event were: Dr. Le Thi Thanh Huong - Vice Principal of Dai Nam University; Dr. Tran Dang Cong - Head of IT Department; Dr. Luong Cao Dong - Assistant to the President, lecturer of IT Department; MSc. Pham Thi To Nga - Deputy Dean of IT Department; Dr. Bui Quang Hung - Assistant to the President in charge of IT Department, along with all staff, lecturers of IT Department and students interested in the Club.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Le Thi Thanh Huong said: The global wave of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, the global digital transformation wave, the National Strategy on Artificial Intelligence Development to 2030, the high demand for human resources in the fields of Science and Technology from Japan, the US, Europe, etc. are the premises to promote the rapid development of the Science and Technology industry and lead in human resources in the coming time.
“The formation and development of the DNU Programming Club is in line with the trend of the times. I believe this will be a solid stepping stone for students to develop, practice and open up many career opportunities in the future,” she said.

Dr. Le Thi Thanh Huong specifically directed the leaders of the Faculty of Computer Science to maintain and develop the "Live Well - Live Healthy - Live Quality" Club and become a trusted address for young people who are passionate about programming inside and outside the school.
MSc. Pham Thi To Nga said that the Club's overall goal is to build and develop members; organize programming skills training, register scientific research topics (focusing on applicable issues and technology transfer capabilities); cooperate with partner businesses to receive practical projects; support training, introduce jobs, etc.
MSc. Pham Thi To Nga commits to developing the DNU Programming Club to "live well - live healthy - live with quality".
Accordingly, members of the DNU Programming Club will be connected and introduced to jobs at recruiting units that are strategic partners of the Faculty such as: FPT Software Company, VTI Education Company, Fimo Company, 2NF Software Company Limited, Seiko Ideas Joint Stock Company...

Introducing the Board of Directors of DNU Programming Club.
After the launching ceremony, DNU Programming Club attracted more than 30 applications. This is the motivation for the Board of Directors, teachers of the Faculty of Computer Science, Information Technology and the Club Management Board to strive and further develop this useful academic playground.
Computer Science is one of the four new majors of Dai Nam University, officially enrolling students in the 2022-2023 school year. With the motto "learning goes hand in hand with practice", computer science students are trained in a practical, realistic direction, closely following the requirements of businesses. Students will learn programming from the first year and throughout the 4 years of study; do internships at leading companies in the fields of IT. In addition, students have the opportunity to be accepted to work long-term at the internship company while still in school. |
