With the aim of creating a playground for students of the whole school to improve their knowledge and skills in using English; encouraging and promoting the English learning movement, contributing to building a "foreign language learning community" among Dai Nam University students; establishing a colorful picture of student talents; educating awareness and conveying the message of joining hands to protect the environment among young people, Dai Nam University organizes the English Olympic competition for the 2018-2019 school year. The final round is expected to take place on May 16.

Foreign language is one of the important factors, the "key" to open the door to success, helping students after graduation to work in many important positions and in any country in the world.

At Dai Nam University, students must have a TOEIC certificate to be eligible to graduate. The final TOEIC requirement for Dai Nam students is to achieve a score of 450 or higher.

The English Olympic Competition for the 2018-2019 school year, hosted by the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Dai Nam University, attracted the attention and response of many students throughout the school.

In fact, in the current period of international integration, every young person needs to have a foreign language to avoid being eliminated by society… Candidates who do not have a foreign language advantage, no matter how good their professional qualifications are, are likely to “lose points” with employers and encounter difficulties in work and life. And of course, when choosing between a candidate who has both professional qualifications and foreign language skills and a candidate who only has expertise, employers will favor candidate number 1.

With the theme “Let's go green”, the English Olympic competition for the 2018-2019 school year hosted by the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Dai Nam University attracted the attention and response of a large number of students throughout the school. Not only is it an intellectual playground to help students improve their knowledge and English learning skills, the competition also helps educate and raise awareness of environmental protection among young people.

Up to now, 16 teams have registered to participate. The teams are rushing to build scripts and make videos for the contest. The organizing committee will judge and select the 6 best teams to compete in the final round on May 16.

The 2018-2019 English Olympic Competition has a total prize value of up to 14 million VND. The first prize team will receive 5 million VND and a free TOEIC final exam. The second prize team will receive 3 million VND and a free TOEIC final exam. 02 third prizes each worth 1 million VND, team members will receive 2/10 points added to the TOEIC final exam. 02 consolation prizes each worth 500 thousand VND, team members will receive 2/10 points added to the TOEIC final exam. In addition, the Organizing Committee will award 1 most favorite video prize worth 3 million VND to the most voted video.
