Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Luong Cao Dong emphasized: "Understanding and mastering corporate culture is a prerequisite for students to be successful in their work. For students majoring in Korean Language, mastering Korean corporate culture right from school helps them to be more proactive, have a clearer learning path to accumulate knowledge - skills - standard attitudes, and conquer employers..."
Dr. Luong Cao Dong presented flowers to two representatives of Korean enterprises.
At the exchange with Korean Language students, Ms. Doan Thai Thuy also hopes to encourage students to grasp profound and valuable lessons, helping young people have enough courage and confidence to work in businesses.
“When entering the labor market, each individual student must know where their value lies. Once they know their strengths and weaknesses, students will certainly find the most suitable job for themselves,” Ms. Thuy shared.
Mr. Son Kang Seek also said: “The first impression is always very important. If the first impression is good, you have succeeded 50%”.
Accordingly, the basic requirements that Korean businesses need from candidates are: service culture, attention - observation, enthusiasm, honesty, work processing speed...
Ms. Doan Thai Thuy shared that the secret for students to impress businesses right from the interview is to demonstrate their strengths. Only then will employers see the potential in the candidate. And to become a professional, excellent person, it is necessary to have 5 factors: Knowledge, skills, attitude, habits, efficiency.
Ms. Doan Thai Thuy affirmed that when students clearly know their strengths and weaknesses, they will certainly find the most suitable job for themselves.
Also during the exchange, the students' questions were answered enthusiastically by the guests. This helped them understand more deeply and thoroughly the actual wishes and requirements of businesses for Korean Language students.
In response to the question: “What is the biggest obstacle when Vietnamese students go to work at Korean companies?” , Ms. Doan Thai Thuy said: “The biggest obstacle is the prejudice of Koreans that Vietnamese people are not hard-working, sociable and agile at work. And the difficulty is how students can eliminate that prejudice in the thinking of Koreans.”
To the question: “Do you need to be good at many foreign languages to work in a Korean company or just good at Korean?” , Mr. Son Kang Seek shared: “Foreign languages are one of the means to bring us success. Therefore, knowing more foreign languages will help us achieve success sooner. However, we are currently learning Korean, so being good at and having a firm grasp of Korean is already a success.”
The business representative also emphasized that, in addition to the necessary luggage, students need to determine their own value in the labor market. Once they have affirmed themselves, their salary will not be less than 500 USD/month (about 12 million/month).
At the end of the exchange, Vu Minh Phuong, a student of Korean class 14.05 shared: “I feel very lucky and honored to participate in today's exchange. Especially, when I learned that the two companies above are strategic partners of the Faculty - where we will do internships in the future, I feel even more that studying Korean Language and Culture at Dai Nam University is the wisest choice for me”.
“Training linked to practice, enhancing business connections” is the training motto that the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture, Dai Nam University, especially focuses on.
