Keeping a clean sheet until the last minute, the Faculty of Information Technology officially became the champion of Dai Nam Cup 2019

The match between the Faculty of Information Technology and the Faculty of Pharmacy, taking place on the morning of May 12 at the Dai Nam University football field, officially ended the 2019 Dai Nam Cup Football season. After nearly a month of competition, with many intense and dramatic matches, the Championship Cup belonged to the Faculty of Information Technology.

The match between two arch-rivals, IT and Pharmacy, is the most anticipated match of this year's season.

Dr. Luong Cao Dong - Principal of the University shared: “ The Dai Nam Cup Football Tournament is an annual activity of Dai Nam University. This is both a playground to help improve health and a bridge for students to exchange, meet and burn out with their passion for football. The tournament is also an opportunity for the Faculties to build solidarity and spread the sports movement among students throughout the school…”

After days of exciting competition, the teams have given the audience dramatic, emotional matches with a spirit of dedication. In addition, the 2019 Dai Nam Cup football tournament has been well prepared by the Organizing Committee for the conditions of competition, the participating teams have been very well prepared to bring dramatic, attractive matches with high professional level.

“This year’s tournament brought together 22 teams from all faculties in the school, with nearly 60 matches and more than 200 goals scored. With the spirit of dedication and fair play, the tournament ended with many echoes and emotions,” said Mr. Vu Dang Tuan Anh – Deputy Secretary of the school’s Youth Union, Head of the tournament’s Organizing Committee.

Teachers and students of the IT department celebrated the victory after the final whistle.

The 2019 Dai Nam Cup football season ended with the following results: First Prize belongs to the Faculty of Information Technology; Second Prize belongs to the Pharmacy alliance 08-02, 04, 05; Third Prize belongs to the Pharmacy alliance 10-04 and 11-04.

With the determination to defend the championship, and the enthusiastic support of the teachers of the Faculty of Information Technology, we have become the defending champion of the Dai Nam Cup 2019 Football Tournament.

Dr. Luong Cao Dong - Principal of Dai Nam University awarded the title of Top Scorer to player Vu Thanh Toan - Pharmacy class 09-03 with a total of 12 goals.

After the referee's starting whistle, the two teams, Lien Quan IT 12-02, 10 and Lien Quan Duoc-08, fiercely "hunted for goals".

Near the end of the first half, with a tricky dribble in front of the opponent's goal, Huy Khoi scored for the IT team, raising the score to 1-0 and also the only goal of the match.

The IT team players celebrated their goal and showed their determination to keep a clean sheet and preserve the score until the last minute of the final match.

The final match of the season received the attention and cheers of a large audience.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Viet - Secretary of the Pharmacy Faculty Inter-branch awarded the Third Prize to the Pharmacy Alliance 10-04,11-04 .

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Secretary of Dai Nam University Youth Union awarded the Second Prize and took a souvenir photo with the 08 Pharmaceutical Alliance.
