Japan supports equipment and training programs for Vietnam's nursing industry

Asia Joint Venture (AJK) has just arrived in Vietnam to support nursing healthcare equipment for many Vietnamese universities.
Dai Nam University is the first school to receive funding for these teaching equipment.
Japan is currently a country that recruits a lot of nurses in Vietnam. According to forecasts, from now until 2025, Japan will lack about three million nursing human resources.
Investing in training cooperation with universities in Vietnam is a direction that Japan is promoting. During the meeting to receive equipment sponsorship for health sector training from the Asia Human Resources Support Organization (AJK), Dai Nam University received equipment sponsorship for health sector training with a total value of nearly 100,000 Yen.
This is AJK's initial funding to improve the quality of health training at Dai Nam University.

Also at the event, the two sides reached important agreements on international cooperation activities, supporting industry training, and organizing lectures directly taught by professors and doctors at Kyoto University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacology and Epidemiology.
The lectures will be decided and advised by AJK and Dai Nam University. These will be open seminars, where participants from universities in the medical and health sector (including students) in Vietnam can participate free of charge.

The two sides met to discuss training cooperation and reached many common points of agreement.
At the end of 2017, the Memorandum of Understanding on Improving Nursing Quality signed between the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam and the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Japan officially took effect. Nursing became one of the professions accepting interns in Vietnam. This is a great opportunity for those who are studying health in Vietnam in general and Nursing students at Dai Nam University in particular.
“Before those documents, the requirements for interns working in Japan were relatively strict. However, after the document was signed by both sides, it opened up more opportunities for students, meeting the international integration trend for nursing students.” – Mr. Nguyen Viet Anh, Vice Principal of Dai Nam University said.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Toshio Kitagaki - Director of the Asia - Japan Human Resources Support Organization shared: "Japan has a policy of strengthening training links with universities in Vietnam. Our goal is to reach young Vietnamese people who come to Japan to learn Japanese, participate in learning knowledge in the field of health care, especially nursing. The Japanese government has policies on residence and grants 5-year visas to those who complete the course."
On behalf of Dai Nam University, Dr. Le Dac Son - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the University expressed his deep gratitude for the attention of the Asian Human Resources Support Organization (AJK) to Dai Nam University. He hoped that the cooperation between the two sides would become increasingly stronger, together towards the common goal of improving the quality of Nursing training in Vietnam.
