IT Internship – A special subject only available at the Faculty of Information Technology, Dai Nam University

Unlike regular internships at other universities, which are only for final year students and only last for 1-2 months, the subject "IT Internship" at the Faculty of Information Technology, Dai Nam University will start from the first year and last until the end of the fourth year. With the learner-centered approach, the IT Internship course helps to inspire students to learn IT right from their first year. Students are guided by excellent lecturers to learn and immediately apply new technologies to products through 15 topics, designed for each semester. The knowledge and skills that students gain from this course will become a foundation for specialized or advanced subjects in the IT training program.

With the motto "Learning must be practiced", "Hands-on instruction", the subject "IT Internship" will equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills from basic to advanced for an IT engineer; helping students to soon approach technology and a professional working environment at businesses operating in the IT field.

Participating in these classes, FIT – DNU students will work 8 hours/day, be assigned to work in groups, freely demonstrate their working capacity, leadership capacity, take turns being group leader, take turns presenting products…

At the end of each course, students will be guided to carry out major exercises to apply and synthesize the knowledge they have learned to solve a larger problem in practice. At the same time, they will be trained and improved in teamwork and communication skills for students.

What is special about the IT Internship program at FIT – DNU?

In the first year , students are exposed to and practice general knowledge about popular IT applications, advanced IT utility services and tools for developing real IT applications. Helping students practice basic skills in installing, analyzing and developing applications.

In semester 1, students will be introduced to basic to advanced IT applications and utilities, such as: social networks, e-commerce, office software, professional services provided by leading technology corporations such as Google, Amazon, Oracle, Microsoft...

In the second semester, students will learn and apply basic knowledge of IT applications in businesses. They will be provided with basic skills in installing, operating, and maintaining IT equipment and systems; and will be familiarized with hardware devices, system software, security, and basic enterprise network system administration...

In the second year , students will continue to train the skills and familiarize themselves with the tools needed to participate in real application development projects and research the most advanced technologies in the practical subject. Students will have access to knowledge from basic to advanced about developing integrated applications in enterprises, including web, mobile and embedded applications.

In the third year , students will apply knowledge from basic to advanced about installing, designing, managing and exploiting databases, which will help students create good software, high performance and especially meet practical needs.

Students are also equipped with knowledge of computer network programming, building Microservice architecture and embedded programming with FPGA, GPU.

In the fourth year, students will master system integration tools and will especially be equipped with the knowledge and skills of an IT architect, including: basic to advanced knowledge of IT applications, security and resource management in enterprises, in e-government, grasp the overview and methods of building IT system architecture in enterprises and in e-government.

The subject “IT Internship” was first introduced into the IT training program at the university level at Dai Nam University as part of the advanced IT training program that was systematically and elaborately built, closely following practical needs. 02 admission methods to IT major at Dai Nam University

- Method 1: Use the results of 03 subjects from the high school graduation exam results according to the registered combination for admission consideration.

- Method 2: Use the results of 03 subjects from the 12th grade high school study results according to the registered combination for admission with a score of 18 points or higher.
