Applied training in the classroom, students confidently experience real work during internships

Internships have become a common practice for fourth-year students. This is considered a great opportunity for young people to gain experience, hone skills and apply the knowledge learned in the classroom to real work.

With the desire that 100% of students have jobs after graduation, the Faculty of Finance and Banking constantly connects, cooperates and introduces students to internships at banks and large enterprises.

This year, students of Course 11 - Faculty of Finance and Banking were introduced to do internships at Orient Commercial Joint Stock Bank (OCB) branches in Nguyen Trai, Thai Ha, Hoan Kiem... from February 22, 2021 to May 1, 2021.

Pham Van Quyet confidently practices at OCB Bank - Thai Ha Branch.

After nearly a month of internship at OCB Bank Thai Ha branch, student of class TCNH 11-01 Pham Van Quyet shared: “ Learning through practical application at the Faculty of Finance and Banking has helped me a lot during my internship. I did not feel confused or lack of confidence when interacting and working with customers. During my internship, I found myself learning a lot of experience, especially in the field of professional knowledge in the field of Personal Credit. In addition, I also improved my communication and teamwork skills.”

Currently interning at OCB Bank, Hoan Kiem branch, Soi Khanh Huyen - student of class TCNH 11-01 said that she is very interested in her position as a teller.

Although I haven’t been able to practice banking services yet, my supervisors still let me sit at the counter to clearly observe the daily work of a teller. After a short internship, I have learned many lessons about communication and how to handle bad situations that arise while dealing with customers,” Huyen said.

Huyen shared that the practical training at the Faculty of Finance and Banking helps students not to be surprised when getting acquainted and interacting with customers. During peak hours, when the counter staff is overloaded, Khanh Huyen can confidently guide customers to fill in information on the deposit slip; payment authorization form for money transfer, credit card payment, etc.

Soi Khanh Huyen is having the best time as a student while interning at OCB Bank - Hoan Kiem branch.
