Internal training is not only an annual activity at Dai Nam University (DNU) but also an important strategy to build a team of increasingly professional, dedicated and creative staff, lecturers and employees. With the goal of improving professional capacity, management skills and dedication, the internal training program for the 2024 - 2025 school year continues to affirm DNU's core value of "devoted learners".

Comprehensive development of team capacity

The internal training program at DNU is designed to develop high-quality human resources, in line with the requirements of a modern educational environment. Each member, regardless of position, is identified as an important link in spreading knowledge and human values.

Management Leadership: Enhance organizational, operational and team development skills, while improving student support capabilities.

Lecturers: Update modern teaching methods, improve lesson design skills, classroom management and promote scientific research.

Staff: Improve professional working skills, synchronously serve students and support teaching.

Practical and inspirational topics

This year's program includes 05 topics, focusing on essential aspects such as: Identifying the portrait of Dai Nam University students and building standards for cadres, lecturers and employees; Scientific research; Teaching and learning management; Active teaching methods; Lesson design skills to ensure DNU brand recognition. Each topic not only provides knowledge but also inspires, helping the staff and lecturers to maximize their abilities, spreading the spirit of "devoted to learners".

The topic "Identifying the portrait of Dai Nam University students and building standards for cadres, lecturers and employees" directly shared by Ms. Cao Thi Hoa - Vice President of the University Council, Vice Principal, helped to understand the characteristics, needs and psychology of students. From there, build a safe, respectful and cohesive learning environment. In particular, the topic provided important criteria to build the image of a standard teacher, close and connected to students.

Scientific research - topic taught by Ms. Dao Thi Thu Giang - Vice Principal: Orientation of research development linked to practice, affirming the academic position of the school.

Teaching and learning management - a topic shared by Ms. Le Thi Thanh Huong - Vice Principal: Helping the teaching staff of Dai Nam University continue to improve and develop their teaching style, accompanying students on their journey of learning and growing up.

Active teaching methods - this topic is shared by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Head of Soft Skills Training and Development Department: Applying modern approaches, inspiring and unleashing learners' potential.

Lesson design skills - this topic is shared by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Head of Soft Skills Training and Development Department: Ensuring effective transmission of knowledge and spreading of DNU's cultural values in each lecture.

Spread the spirit for dedicated learners

With the message "for the dedicated learners", Dai Nam University not only aims to improve professional capacity but also build a team of teachers and staff who are always ready to listen, accompany and guide students on the journey of comprehensive development. This is the key to help DNU constantly innovate, reach out and affirm its position in the educational community.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Head of the Department of Automotive Engineering Technology shared: “The topic of identifying the portrait of Dai Nam University students and building standards for cadres, lecturers, and construction staff is so elaborate and professional, even lecturers who teach specialized subjects rarely do so. Ms. Hoa is very "passionate" and very dedicated! The content covered in a short period of time has described all the general characteristics of the Genz age group. These are truly valuable documents. Depending on the age, teachers need to have appropriate behaviors to be close to students but still maintain the role of parents, older siblings and especially teachers…”

Mr. Nguyen Trong Viet - Deputy Head of Admissions Department said: “The training session on the portrait of Dai Nam University students presented by Ms. Cao Thi Hoa left me with many deep impressions. Her sharing not only provided a comprehensive view of DNU student insight but also helped me better understand their psychology, needs and expectations. This information helps us build a more effective admissions strategy, attracting more quality candidates. At the same time, I also realize the importance of improving the quality of admissions consulting to meet the increasing needs of students…”

Mr. Nguyen Lan Trang - Head of Semiconductor Technology Department shared: “No matter what age or how many years of experience, teachers still need to constantly learn, improve and upgrade themselves to meet the needs of students. We cannot be complacent that we are good and do not need to learn more. 'Learning from teachers is not as good as learning from friends' is a lesson that is always true. Training sessions like this are an opportunity for teachers to understand their students better. Only when we understand them can we teach and accompany them effectively…”

Mr. Nguyen Huu Nhan - Head of Student Affairs Department: “Compared to previous years, the training content focuses more on the core values of the school, especially the value of dedicated learners. This helps staff and lecturers better identify their roles and responsibilities in building DNU culture. The program is not only an opportunity for each lecturer to improve their professional capacity, but also an opportunity to build cohesion between generations of staff, lecturers and employees, creating a united, strong team, dedicated to learners…”

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh – Lecturer of English Language Department: “Ms. Hoa has set out the standards that staff and lecturers need to achieve to meet the increasingly high demands of the school and society! In particular, I was very impressed with the last slide. When she talked about the Mission of Dai Nam teachers, I was very moved, because it is rare in any educational institution where the leaders are so dedicated to the cause of education! Moreover, Ms. Cao Hoa is an example of passion, energy and sincerity, making listeners like me feel very motivated and strive!”

Ms. Nguyen Thi Diu - Deputy Head of the Department of Communication, who has just joined DNU, shared: “The internal training session on DNU Student Insight is very concise, with multi-dimensional, vivid information and updated data. Thanks to that, I have a new and deeper perspective on the portrait of learners, and at the same time, I am more aware of my role and responsibility in interacting, guiding and training students. The internal training program is a necessary and useful activity to help new employees "follow local customs" and quickly integrate into the culture and work at Dai Nam".

Ms. Ha Thi Xoa - Secretary of the Board of Directors: "For me, as an office staff, not directly teaching and managing students, Ms. Hoa's sharing session was really practical and "real". It is not only meaningful in managing student training but also gives everyone a way to understand and perceive today's youth, apply it in daily life, especially how to "teach children"..."

Mr. Nguyen Duy Quoc Tuan - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design shared: "Active teaching methods not only help increase the effectiveness of knowledge transfer but also build an emotional bridge between teachers and students. This topic has clarified the importance of innovating methods to accompany the dynamic and creative Gen Z generation."

"This is not only a training program but also a place for our team to share and learn from each other. In particular, the spirit of 'Dedicated to learners' has been imbued from the program content to the way it is organized," said Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet Loan - Lecturer of the Faculty of Finance - Banking.

Internal training does not stop at the school level but also needs to be expanded and developed in each faculty and each professional department. After participating in the general training programs organized by the school, the faculties can continue to inherit, customize and develop training content suitable to their professional characteristics. This not only helps to improve the capacity of staff and lecturers but also promotes even and sustainable development throughout the school.
