On the morning of April 9, 2016, at Room 203 - Phu Lam Campus, the Accounting and Auditing Club and the Faculty of Information Technology organized an Information Technology Workshop with the topic "Personal information security on the internet".

In the era of Internet technology, email or social networks are increasingly developing, the safe use and protection of personal information when using the Internet is extremely necessary at the present time. On April 9, 2016, the workshop "Personal information security when using the Internet" was held to popularize personal information security for teachers and students of Dai Nam University.

Recognizing the importance of protecting personal information and data in the face of the rapid development of information technology, the Youth Union of Dai Nam University together with the Open Source Club of the Faculty of Information Technology organized a workshop on "Personal information security when using the Internet" at the main campus of Phu Lam, Ha Dong - attracting the participation of Dai Nam University students, especially the interest of students of the Faculty of Accounting.

Attending the workshop were Dr. Luong Cao Dong - Vice Principal of Dai Nam University, Mr. Pham Hong Duc - Deputy Secretary of the School Youth Union, Mr. Luong The Anh - Head of the Accounting Department, Mr. Le Ngoc An - Secretary of the Information Technology Branch, along with the participation of many students of Dai Nam University, especially the Accounting Department.

With the passion of a teacher, Dr. Luong Cao Dong - Vice Principal of Dai Nam University and also Head of Information Technology Department emphasized the benefits of participating in the seminar, helping Dai Nam University students know how to protect their own information and hoped that the seminar "Personal information security when using the Internet" will bring many useful and interesting shares.

In the current era of technology, teaching by means and technology is no longer strange to students today - "So what should be done to make it effective? Many people think that using monitoring software is violating other people's personal information? Are all the measures given in the workshop too difficult to implement? Searching online through popular websites does not bring many documents for students at the present time? What ways can we solve and avoid intrusion? ..." There are countless questions raised and questions surrounding the topics presented at the workshop. At first glance, everyone probably thinks that it is a lofty field, if data is lost it is due to one's own carelessness. However, before the sharing at the workshop "Personal information security when using the Internet" somehow seems simple and easy to implement to protect oneself.

Teacher Le Ngoc An - Secretary of the Information Technology Union - who shared with Dai Nam University students about how to "Safely protect personal information when using the Internet". At the workshop, not only did he share how to prevent fraud, how to recognize virus links, protect social network accounts, etc., but he also helped students learn more about many learning resources through clear introductions. Not only that, he also expanded on consulting to help students find the right computer for their major, how to avoid fraud through the Internet, and how to monitor their children when they are not around.

When we are in the era of technology, every field of study needs to popularize basic computer skills for teachers and students - but not everyone knows how to choose the right computer for studying, working, for the fields they are studying and working. Through the seminar, students who participate also have the opportunity to receive more advice on how to buy a computer suitable for their field of study such as: buying for studying programming languages, network administration, graphic design or office work.
The dissemination of “Personal information security when using the Internet” to teachers and students of Dai Nam University was extremely successful, providing useful and essential knowledge to develop a clean environment when using the Internet, social networks, email, etc., protecting computers from harmful virus links. The study sessions and seminars help students of Dai Nam University, especially students of the Accounting faculty, gain more knowledge about IT and supplement necessary skills in the process of perfecting their specialized knowledge.
