Information about the national startup competition 2015

The National Startup Competition is a business project competition for young people on a national scale. The competition is a key activity in the series of activities of the National Startup Program initiated and chaired by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) since 2003, sponsored and coordinated by many ministries, branches, universities, colleges and localities across the country.

After 12 years of implementation, the Competition has attracted more than 100 universities and colleges, dozens of provinces and cities and tens of thousands of young people and students nationwide to participate, nearly 3,000 start-up projects with practical value have been formed. It can be said that the Competition has contributed to arousing the entrepreneurial spirit, creating opportunities to promote creativity, self-reliance, business acumen... in young people and students, contributing to creating a large number of young entrepreneurs in many fields.

If you are ready to turn your business idea into reality, here are the things you need to know about the 2015 Startup Competition:

I. What do you get when participating in the 2015 Startup Competition:

- Attractive prizes : The total prize value of the Contest is up to hundreds of millions of VND including cash and scholarships for business courses, MBA...

- Comprehensive professional support : with experts who are prestigious lecturers on business startups, famous entrepreneurs, participants will receive advice to gradually complete the project through each round. In particular, the most excellent projects will be consulted and supported to realize the project after the Competition.

- Reputation and relationships : participating in the Competition, you will have the opportunity to meet directly, present your business ideas and receive advice and project criticism from prestigious experts in business startups and famous entrepreneurs. The Competition is also a useful playground for you to interact with students from other schools and young people nationwide.

- As a member of the largest startup community in the country: Since joining the Competition, you will become a member of the VCCI Startup Community, receiving full and timely information about the activities and upcoming events of the Program in the coming years such as: information on free business startup training courses, meetings with famous entrepreneurs, Talk shows about Startups... Priority to participate in advanced business startup courses.

II. Contest subjects and groups:

· Contestants: Contestants can participate individually or in groups (no limit on the number of people in the group)

- Local youth have ideas and want to start a business; or have started a business;

- Students of universities, colleges, vocational schools;

- Young army force;

- Workers and engineers in factories and industrial parks (people who master technology and have high expertise).

- Foreign students in Vietnam and Vietnamese students abroad;

· Contest fields:

Business projects can be in all fields: Manufacturing; Trade - Services; Information Technology - Telecommunications; Environment; Community support; Marine and island economy; Other industries...

III. Application instructions

- Documents sent to the Organizing Committee, including:

+ 1 hard copy of project details, cover clearly stating the project is participating in the 2015 National Startup Competition (project outline according to the form)

+ 1 hard copy of project summary (no more than 1 A4 page introducing the "golden points" of the project)

+ 1 CD with soft copy of project details and project summary

+ Letter of introduction for project members (according to form), with confirmation stamp from the school or local government agency

IV. Competition Schedule:

- Launched: January 2015

- Project submission: After launch – October 15, 2015

- Project evaluation (3 rounds): October 15 – December 25, 2015
