Every year, the world discharges 300 million tons of plastic waste, nearly 1/3 of the plastic bags that people throw away are not collected and treated. More than 9.1 billion tons of plastic waste are accumulating on Earth. On average, every minute the world consumes 1 million plastic bottles... Plastic waste and plastic bags discharged into the environment are increasing exponentially. They are destroying the living environment of humans and the animal world, especially marine life, every day and every hour.
