Read what you like, read things that suit your ability, don't rush to look up the dictionary, read a lot of English articles and read every day...
  1. Read what you like
When you surf Facebook, you don’t read everything on your Newsfeed. You only read what you find interesting. Apply this to your English reading practice.
  1. What you read should be appropriate to your level.
Choosing what to read is important. Choosing what you enjoy will help spark your love of English, choosing the right thing will help you maintain that love.

You must be fed up with readings or documents full of difficult terms. The unpleasant feeling of having to look up words in the dictionary is something you don’t want to experience again. Many people advise you to read the news on channels like CNN, BBC, etc. That’s not wrong, especially when you learn English for exams.

But if the news on those channels is too difficult for you, and not very entertaining, it can easily make you feel "sleepy" or bored. Instead, you should read articles on Blogs, Forums..., or short stories. These articles are often entertaining, interesting, engaging, and easy to understand. Don't worry about not being able to read high-level articles. You should start with simple things first. Then gradually increase the difficulty of the reading.
  1. Don't rush to look up the dictionary.
While reading, it is inevitable that you will encounter new words, words you have never seen before. At this time, DO NOT ROUGHLY LOOK UP IN THE DICTIONARY. Looking up words in the dictionary while reading can easily make you bored and lose inspiration.

So before looking up a word in the dictionary, answer the following questions:
  • Do you know what the article/paragraph you are reading is about?
  • Do you know the meaning of the sentence you are reading based on the context?
  • Can you find any words/sentences similar to the sentence you are reading?

If your answer is “yes”, then you don’t need to look it up in the dictionary. You already know what the word means.

If your answer is "no", then look it up in the dictionary. But don't look it up in the Vietnamese dictionary. Look it up in the English dictionary (Oxford dictionary). The English dictionary helps you understand how to express a complex English word with simple English words. From there, you can improve your English quickly.
  1. Read a lot of English articles and read every day
Finally, you can't be lazy . You have to read a lot and you have to read every day. This is difficult, but it will make English a part of your daily life.

Good luck!
