How does DNU-ER "level up" their skills with the Advanced Soft Skills Training Camp?

Following the interesting theoretical hours in class, K15 students continued to enter the advanced Soft Skills (SSL) training program with the theme “Dai Nam Intelligence”. Here, the boys and girls left behind their personal lifestyle, shyness, haste, and haste to “upgrade” themselves in both skills and knowledge. Once again affirming the bravery, talent, and “not-so-average” skills of Dai Nam University students.
The KNM training program is a specialty of Dai Nam University. With this program, students experience mental, intellectual, emotional and psychosocial skills that help each individual survive and adapt well to the community, life and surrounding environment. Thereby increasing the competitive advantage of Dai Nam University students in the domestic and foreign labor markets.
During the KNM training process, students are trained from basic to advanced. The curriculum is systematically and professionally built from theory, practice to exam format. Instead of taking exams in the traditional way, students are challenged with new exam formats such as: CV design, short film production, etc. Especially, KNM Camp Training is an exam format that brings many emotions and unforgettable experiences to students.
If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.
At the age of 19-20, most young people value individualism and self-reliance. However, that lifestyle was left behind when K15 students entered the Advanced KNM Training Camp.
Nguyen Tien Dat - a student of IT class 15.03 shared: "The Advanced KNM Camp gave me a great lesson in teamwork. We cannot go alone, nor can we choose teammates or colleagues to work with. Therefore, the only thing we can do is put our ego down, be open, unite and coordinate smoothly to complete the task."
One tree alone cannot make a forest, the whole team together can make a common victory.
Ta Ba Linh – a student of class HQ 15.07 expressed: “My teamwork skills have improved significantly after participating in the Advanced KNM Camp. No longer relying on others or thinking “someone else will do it for me”, I learned how to connect strangers into a good team; listen, come up with strategies together and strive to reach the end of the challenge”.
Become a true leader
In the role of team leader, Ha Thi Hai Yen - class TCNH 15.02 has "accumulated" skills for herself: leadership, connecting members, planning, determining goals, dividing work, inspiring, solving situations, controlling emotions...
“I never thought I could become a leader until I joined the Advanced KNM Camp. I learned to control my anger and conservatism so that I could sit down with my teammates to discuss strategies and encourage each other to overcome challenges. When I make a mistake, I, as a leader, am also ready to take responsibility and not push it onto anyone else,” the 9X said.
A leader is someone who is not conservative, knows how to listen and connect members.
As a “familiar” mentor from the Basic KNM Camp, Phung Vu The Tai – Faculty of Business Administration said: “The initial shyness has been replaced by confidence and courage. Through the process of guiding the competing teams, I have developed my leadership, supervision, problem-solving, and concentration skills to be able to oversee the whole team and evaluate each member in the most objective and specific way”.
Mentors are dedicated to supporting the teams.
Improve your judgment, reasoning, and time management skills
The Golden Bell contest not only provides useful knowledge about school, life, majors, economic - political - socio-cultural issues, but also helps Gen Z practice judgment, reasoning, time management, presentation skills, etc. Thereby promoting the spirit of learning, cultivating knowledge and skills for students.
Hai Yen – a student of TA 15.05 class shared: “The competition has trained me to have high concentration. Especially with the questions about images and sounds that require high observation, memory and quick reasoning skills. I will definitely further develop these great skills in my studies and life.”
Gen Z trains reasoning, judgment, logic, presentation, time management skills... in just one intellectual test.
Building and affirming personal brand
Perhaps, helping students build and position their personal brand is something that only Dai Nam University's Advanced KNM Camp can do. Here, young people not only have the opportunity to express their personal views and opinions but also participate in self-discovery activities such as presentations, acting, etc.
Ta Ba Linh shared: “When I stood on stage to act, being cheered on and called by my friends, I felt extremely happy. From a shy person, I was able to step out of my comfort zone to affirm my talent and position my own brand…”
Unlock the hidden potential within.
Hoang Minh Phung - a student of IT class 15.03 expressed: "There is hardly any school that can help students discover their talents and improve their skills like Dai Nam University. I will try to take advantage of this to study hard, position myself and become a good engineer in the future."
The Advanced KNM Camp certainly leaves many emotions and beautiful memories in the hearts of each K15 student. Lessons on solidarity, teamwork skills, leadership, time planning, reasoning, judgment, personal image positioning... will be important provisions for each young person on the path to advancement in the future.
