Scientific research activities of students are of great significance in the training work at universities. Scientific research not only creates a spirit of passion for learning, improves professional knowledge but also helps promote dynamism, creative thinking, and practice scientific research skills. With such meaning, the Faculty of Construction and Architecture of Dai Nam University is always interested in promoting scientific research activities of students. On May 22, the Scientific Research Conference of students of the Faculty of Construction and Architecture took place with 4 highly appreciated acceptance topics.

On May 22, the Scientific Research Conference of students of the Faculty of Construction and Architecture took place with 4 highly appreciated acceptance topics.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the conference, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Van Toai - Head of the Faculty of Construction and Architecture acknowledged and praised the scientific research activities of students. " Implementing scientific research topics with the guidance of teachers helps students know how to pose and solve problems methodically and scientifically, creating a solid foundation for them when they graduate and go to work, " said Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Van Toai.
In the 2018-2019 school year, the Faculty of Construction and Architecture has given specific instructions to promote scientific research activities of students. These activities are linked to the scientific research activities of staff and lecturers in the school. The scientific research works of students in the 2018-2019 school year have been highly appreciated and have practical application in the direction of "research and application" - overcoming the limitations and shortcomings in current architectural construction.

Students of the Faculty of Construction and Architecture confidently reported the results of their research projects to the Scientific Council.
This year's conference was noted for the participation of student and lecturer research topics with practical applications in the industry. Accordingly, the first prize went to the topic: "Research on the influence of floor thickness, column spacing on the load-bearing capacity of beam-free floors" by the student group Vu Dinh Ngoc and Le Duy Tien, class XD 08-01. The second prize went to the topic: "Research on the working of torsion beams" by the student group Tran Dinh Thi, Dao Van Hieu, Pham Quoc Tuan, class XD 09-01;
MSc. Phan Van Hau - Lecturer of the Faculty of Construction and Architecture commented: "The winning topics have demonstrated the uniqueness of the research problem, high practicality, rich research content, reasonable research methods, scientific and serious presentation".
The conference reflected the efforts of teachers and students of the Faculty of Construction and Architecture in improving the quality of training, and was a forum to help students consolidate and improve their knowledge, equip them with learning methods and access new knowledge, and apply knowledge in their own way.
MSc. Nguyen Thi Ngan - Lecturer of the Faculty of Construction and Architecture contributed a scientific research topic this year.
In particular, with the spirit of "students and lecturers doing scientific research together", the council highly appreciated the spirit and contribution to the scientific research work of 2 research topics: MSc. Architect. Le Hung Anh - Lecturer of the Faculty of Construction - Architecture with the topic: "Research on design solutions for architectural renovation of the facade of Hang Dao commercial street - Hanoi" and the topic: "Temperature variation in cement concrete pavement" by MSc. Nguyen Thi Ngan . This activity not only encourages the research and teaching spirit of lecturers, but also contributes to improving the training quality for students of Dai Nam University.
The 2019 Construction - Architecture Scientific Conference ended successfully, which is a stepping stone in launching the scientific research movement for students in the upcoming school year.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Van Toai believes: “ With the creativity of youth, with passion, diligence in studying and scientific research, and the dedicated guidance of teachers and lecturers with experience in research, students will achieve more achievements in studying and scientific research, contributing to improving the quality of training and scientific research of the Faculty of Construction - Architecture and Dai Nam University ”.
