Go, learn and grow: Dai Nam University students on an international journey

“How much is youth worth?” For students of Dai Nam University (DNU), the answer is not in the wallet, but in the experiences they have gone through. And that value, sometimes, is “more precious than gold”.

From Dai Nam University lecture hall to "cross -border classroom"

Each international semester is a ticket to open the door to the world. DNU students not only study in air-conditioned rooms with thick textbooks, but also set foot in Seoul, Tokyo, Beijing, Harbin , or New York... There, you become "international citizens in training":

· In the morning, sit in class and listen to lectures in English or Korean.

· Afternoon learning how to take the train, pay for the dormitory, and calculate every penny spent.

· Chatting with friends from all over the world at night, I realized: differences in language, culture… only make the heart bigger.

Experience makes character

“I used to be shy and afraid to speak in front of a crowd. But after a semester in Korea, I begin to give presentations in Korean, to connect with strangers, and to put more faith in myself more … ” - Luong Thu Thuy shared as a student of the Korean Language Department.

That represents the voice of nearly 500 DNU students who have been and are going through international semesters. They not only bring home a degree, but also:

· Confidence in any situation.

· Life skills: time management, finance, occupation.

· Career vision: dare to think far and to do big.

DNU - where knowledge goes hand in hand with experience

Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thi Thu Giang - Principal of the School emphasized : "Knowledge must go hand in hand with experience. Interaction in the global business environment of the school will help Dai Nam students mature and have the courage to integrate."

Not only going to school, many DNU students also have paid internships at hospitals and technology companies in Japan, the US, China, etc. That experience turns theory into practical skills as a preparation for their future careers.

A global citizen generation

DNU is expanding cooperation with institutions in the US, Australia, Europe, etc. to provide new pathway for students. The University's goal is clear: to educate learner with good expertise and forge global citizens who are confident in integration with Vietnamese identity.

For DNU students, each trip and each international semester is a milestone in their growth. And sometimes, it is the most valuable asset of youth to carry along them throughout their lives.
