Tran Thi Hai Yen - YDK class 14-02 shared: "Going to the hospital" for the first time was a very emotional experience for me. First was the excitement because this was the first time I wore a white blouse and entered the hospital gate, directly interacting with patients and departments - the working environment that will be with us in the future. Besides, there was a bit of anxiety because although I had learned theory and practiced proficiently on the model at school, when integrating into the real environment of the hospital, standing in front of real patients, no one could avoid being bewildered. However, when I arrived at the hospital with the thoughtful arrangements of the School and the enthusiastic reception and guidance of the hospital, I clearly felt that in addition to the high expertise of the teachers, there was also the dedication, enthusiasm, and willingness to instruct and correct mistakes for us students..."
During the practical training, students are instructed and perform techniques/procedures directly on real patients.
Sharing her goals for the 4 weeks of clinical training at the hospital, Hai Yen said: “Through this clinical internship, I hope to be able to get acquainted with the orderly and precise hospital environment as well as know how to interact and work with patients. In addition, I want to hone my skills in practicing the subject’s procedures correctly, overcoming the initial confusion to become more confident and proficient in the operations. Thereby, I can gain more experience for myself, serving my future studies and work…”
Can Khanh Linh - YDK class 14-01 shared: "I will try my best to acquire more new clinical knowledge, build a solid foundation to study clinical pathology practice in the future, and be confident on the path of learning to become a good doctor..."
