From the classroom to the business: DNU Logistics students are “sure” of internships and recruitment, businesses “hunt” for talent

Thoroughly and effectively applying the learning ecosystem “Maximum experience between studying and doing at businesses”, training students according to social needs and business “orders”, aiming at international integration; The Faculty of Logistics and Supply Chain Management of Dai Nam University especially focuses on building a classroom-business model. Through business connection activities, seminars, Job fairs, etc., students are guaranteed practice and internship locations; businesses directly train and attract high-quality human resources.
Dai Nam University is a pioneer in designing the Logistics and Supply Chain Management training program in the direction of "learning while doing" to narrow the gap between theory and practice. Right from the first year, students will experience practical Logistics operations from the Japan Mekong Sub-region Logistics Training Center - Vietnam Maritime University; HTM Logistics Warehouse Center of Vidifi Duyen Hai Joint Stock Company; Tan Cang Hai Phong International Container Port; Huu Nghi International Border Gate Customs Branch; Huu Nghi Xuan Cuong Joint Stock Company; Chi Ma Border Gate Customs Branch; Dong Dang International Railway Station Customs Branch, etc.
In addition, students are also connected with businesses and oriented to their careers through academic "playgrounds" such as: Business Festival; Young Logistics Talent Search Competition; Practical and internship programs for students and Specialized sessions related to majors and majors.
The “Business Day” program marked an important milestone with the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between the school and 22 businesses. This cooperation not only narrows the gap between schools and businesses but also further promotes the model of classrooms – businesses.
Through direct communication and dialogue with businesses, students have a more comprehensive view of their careers, knowledge, skills, and employer requirements to best prepare for their internships. At the same time, they avoid the psychology of “corporate culture shock”.

Following the success of the “Business Day” program, Dai Nam University continues to organize the “Vietnam Logistics Young Talent Search 2022 (VNYLT) - School-level competition”. This is a useful and attractive playground for students as well as a great opportunity to interact and learn from business leaders.

In order to help students grasp the trend of digital transformation and digitalization in the Logistics and Supply Chain Management industry, the Faculty of Logistics and Supply Chain Management continued to successfully organize the Talkshow "Digital transformation in the Logistics and Supply Chain Management industry, perspective from experts" with the participation of speaker Pham Nam Long - CEO & Founder of Abivin Vietnam Co., Ltd. Here, students were directly asked questions about the field of study, job opportunities and career advancement, income level... Thereby fostering more love for Logistics and Supply Chain Management; building a clear learning path for themselves.

Most recently, the Faculty of Logistics and Supply Chain Management of Dai Nam University successfully organized a 3-day, 2-night practical trip (April 12-14, 2023) for K16 students majoring in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at the Customs Branch of Huu Nghi International Border Gate, Huu Nghi Xuan Cuong Joint Stock Company, Chi Ma Border Gate Customs Branch, and Dong Dang International Railway Station Customs Branch.
Here, students listened to representatives of units working in the Customs sector give a general introduction to border trade activities; the roles and tasks of Customs Sub-Departments at border gates; and directly monitored the actual work that units had to do.
