Foreign Language Department meets students of course 9

In the integration period, English has become an indispensable foreign language.  lack for young people. Identifying English as one of the two keys to student success along with soft skills. Not only inviting native teachers to teach, the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Dai Nam University is always actively innovating teaching and learning methods so that students can absorb English most effectively. To help new students better understand the role of English in learning, on September 18, the Faculty of Foreign Languages successfully organized a meeting for students of the 9th course at the campus of 56 Vu Trong Phung.

At the beginning of the exchange session, the new students of the 9th course openly and sincerely shared their reasons for choosing to study English at Dai Nam University and expressed their aspirations when entering the school. Although the opinions exchanged were very diverse and rich, they all showed a common expectation of improving their English skills, having a good job in their major after graduation, and most importantly, experiencing life and studying in a dynamic learning environment.

Next, Dr. Dang Ngoc Huong - Head of the Foreign Language Department, introduced to the new students in the most general and comprehensive way about the learning and research process when studying English Language at the school. He especially emphasized: " Language is a major that always attracts the attention and love of students. Realizing that, the school's Board of Directors and the Foreign Language Department have been constantly creating all conditions and supporting the learning and research activities of students in this major, so that you will be steady, confident and professional when you graduate."

Dr. Dang Ngoc Huong - Head of Foreign Language Department introduced the general study program of English language major.

Following the Dean, Mr. Nguyen Viet Anh - Vice Principal of the School shared with the new students about the cultural exchange opportunities that they will have the opportunity to experience while studying at the school. He said that in the 2015-2016 school year and the following years, the Faculty of Foreign Languages and the school will invite foreign teachers to collaborate with the school so that students have the opportunity to communicate with native speakers. He added that the school also organizes student exchange programs, cooperating with international universities to help students gain practical experience in an English environment.

New students share with teachers the reasons for choosing to study English

Within the framework of the exchange session, Ms. Pham Thi Oanh - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Foreign Languages emphasized that the passion for learning of students will be the key to their future success. Along with introducing the subjects that students will study at the school and the lecturers in the faculty, she also shared very sincerely about learning methods to help new students have the right orientation for the upcoming school year and the following school years.

After the sharing of the teachers, the new students also had the opportunity to listen to the learning experiences of the senior students. Dang Duc Loc, an excellent former student of the English Language major, gave very useful advice on how to master English. The sharing of the senior students helped the new students to better understand the method of learning a foreign language as well as to identify that determination, passion and perseverance are indispensable if they want to succeed in their studies.

After the exchange, the new students of the 9th course certainly felt the warm and enthusiastic welcome from the lecturers and students of the previous course of the Faculty, and received valuable experiences about studying in the first year of university as well as the journey ahead. I wish all of you will have happy memories in the upcoming journey under the common roof - Dai Nam University.
